  • this is 747-200 ..!!

  • My dad and I..

  • what sucks for me i live in st.louis and there are never 747's coming to my airport well we did have them when twa was going but after wards no 747's all we have are 737,embreier,canidier,and thats it

  • I wish NWA was still around...but I love Delta too!

  • and wow the engine looks wider than the fuselage of that dc9! So amazing

  • omg ur so lucky! u and ur dad have the whole 747 2 urself XD

  • Neat, not everyone gets to do that!

  • You owe me a trip in Business class

  • turn the panel lights on :)

  • How do you get to be on the Upper Deck? Is it just by 'luck', or is it a 'class' or can you choose?

The upper deck would be the perfect way to see the cockpit, but now you can't cause they lock it cause of 9/11... Stupid terrorists

  • @pilot588 first it depends on the class config cause some airlines will have economy seats on the upper deck or it is first class or business

  • @yoyoyoyoshua Ok, then like I asked, if it's Economy (I could NEVER buy first), is it by luck or can you choose to be on the upper deck? Like we did when we went to Rapid City, by Delta/NWA. We got to choose to be by eachother, or it was randomly selected, for us. =3

  • one time I was flyin business class on QANTAS, and I was on the upper level. We were goin from hong kong to sydney, and when we were waiting for all the passengers to board, I sneaked up to the cockpit door to have a look, luckly the second captain saw me and invited me in. That was the best flight of my life. Cockpit, business class, unlimited drinks and service, an amazing flight for a 10 year old ( this was 3 years ago, but i remember like it was yesterday)

  • @thestig747 I was on a Delta a330 in business class from FCO-JFK and since we boarded first I tried to see the cockpit and the pilot let me in that was a awesome day.Enthough it was one year ago when I was 9 I still remember.

  • @legoryan9 wow!, very similiar experiences.

  • nice !

  • I don't like the A380.

    Its just big.

    Big.

There is nothing else about it that makes it amazing.

The elongated upper deck. Still nothing that amazing.

The Boeing 747-400 and 747-8i are far superior.

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) Why do we like to seat on the upper deck of a Boeing 747 instead of the low we deck?

    (3) How do we feel differently to seat on the upper deck comparing with to seat on the lower deck?

    (4) If you are the interior designer, how will you design the upper deck of a Boeing 747 in order to make it more enjoyable with more fun?

TAHNK YOU IN ADAVNCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • @applesweeter 1.) It took us a very very very long time as mankind to learn how to get into the air, plus its faster, and overall just amazing. 2.) Upperdeck 747 feels private, cozy, sort of like your on a private business jet. 3.) look at number 2. 4.) Catch up with all leading airlines outside the united states as far as business and first class goes. offer lie flat seats in a private setting, with bright lighting that dims after take off.

  • Very cool! Thanks for uploading!

  • so thats what it looks like on the inside bumphead of a 747. I've always wanted to go on one so badly!!!

  • Check out my latest video which tours the upper deck of the 747 on United. You can see more detail of the service, etc, from this year. Just click on my name, and then click on my videos.

  • No way in hell is it worth paying 10x the cost of an economy class ticket to sit up there. I'd rather fly coach and spend the rest of the money on strippers at my destination.

  • @RK831 LOL

  • @RK831 One day you too may be so fed up with tiny legroom in coach and rediculous long lines big crowds at the airport...

Besides, it's usually about 2x or 3x full economy fare, not 10x.

Only problem is, when you have been travelling 'up front' a couple of times you don't want to fly in a fully packed economy cabin anymore.

  • @RK831 dude on delta there are economy seats on the upper deck

  • @WwTKVwW That is not true there are only business class.

  • @RK831 not all airline serves the upperdeck as first class. in our country's carrier, JAL, the upper deck is also used for economy.

  • TVs are infirst class.

  • Tv's are built in seats

  • where are they, or do they like fold out or something?

  • they fold up in between the seats!

  • LOL, 2nd biggest passenager jet in the world and no TV's ahahahahahahaha

  • cool! ive been in a 747 cockpit, but only when it was parked lol. ive never seen the upper deck so thanks for showing

  • I'm confused. :( How can you have been in the cockpit but never see the upper deck?

  • coz i didnt look back at all the sleeping passengers. and also there was a curtain drwan to so i didnt want ot bother pulling it back in case i got in trouble

  • Oh, I thought the stairs go in from the back of the second floor, so no matter what you've have to walk through the cabin-section.

  • there might be, but i went up the stairs that led between the cockpit and the upper cabin

  • @scaremenga

The cockpit is on the upper deck.

  • ehhhh rgr

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WENT ON A AIRBUS 380 IS BIGGER!!! LOL oh ya and how old are you i mean you not your dad lol?

  • im 18, almost 19, but ya i was juston the a380 a couple days ago, and its amazing

  • @sammyseefatpoon Yeah? well your a mushroom!

  • Just Like In The PMDG 747-400

  • i thought the faa dont allow camras in the cocpit

  • NWA planes are nicer on the outside!

  • It looks cozy.

  • i'am goin in 2 WEEKS!!!!

  • how comfortable are the WBC seats? (I realize that is subjective, but whatever)

do the PTV's slide out from the side of the seat, or are they handed to the passengers?

not a bad way to spend 11 hours in the air to Narita

  • The seats are great. I have no issues with them, and yes the PTV's are in the seats side

  • @Neiliard86 Seats are good. They've been reupholstered since DL took over. Flew upperdeck to Tokyo Haneda and back and it was amazing. Delta has plans to upgrade all the 47s starting this summer with lie flats in business, and ptvs (i think avod system) throughout the plane. They'll be much better.

  • my dad works for delta.. ive always wanted to fly in one of these so hopefully i will be able to now

  • the row of 77 is the best if you want the most leg room, but the F/A's face you on take off and landing. (not always a bad thing) also row 73 seats A and B are probably the second best.

  • Thank you. However, those seats that you suggested are taken. I'm choosing 79B but my fear is that the seat will not lean back all the way becaue of the screen at the back. Do you know will it lean back all the way like the rest of the seats? Thanks again.

  • ya all the seats in WBC lean back the same. You'll be fine in any seat

  • Thanks for sharing. If you could get more of the upper deck video would be great. I'm flying in 2 months. I want to reaveal seat 79B. Oh, since you seems to spend time on it. Which seat would be better between 79B and 74B? I get up a lot and have neck problem. Thank you in advance.

  • awesomee...

  • check out my other videos too. I just uploaded some from today at the control tower in MSP

  • great video

  • my dads a pilot, and we were lucky that all the doors were open to all four of the aircraft there.

  • How did you get to go in the hanger and all the aircrafts?
