Guys, the song was originally written before On Through The Night, then it was a B side on Hysteria, I forget which song...then it ended up on Retro Active. I think it's a great song, can't understand how it never made it to a real album and I WISH DL would play stuff like this when I go see them live. When I go, it's the Hysteria show. I want to see Mirror Mirror or Wasted, or something like that tossed into the mix.

@goobersrock90 You are right, I was thinking of Ride Into the Sun. Ring of Fire was the B side to Pour Some Sugar on Me. I'm not sure exactly when the original song was written. Either way, I'd love to see Def Lep do a concert like other bands do...where they set it before Hysteria. I love the loyalty for keeping Rick Allen in the band BUT as a drummer, I'd love to see another drummer there. Bad Catch 22.

@nikko024 I read somewhere Joe wrote this about a bad night of Mexican food and that he wrote it during Hysteria. That being said it was the B-Side to Armaggedon It and remixed for Retro Active, the most obvious part is the intro seeing as on the B-Side it was a fade in, and the Retro Active version it was not. Also the false ending on the B-Side.

@nikko024 This song is not that old - you're thinking of Ride into the Sun - it was a B side to Animal,and yes 0 it's a great song but when Lep ended their partnership with Steinman and reunited with Mutt they agreed to scrap all of the songs they had written before Mutt came back.

Well, first of all, so we understand each other, I did my masters thesis in music business management at Berklee College of Music--partnered with the University of Arizona because Berklee in an undergrad school--so I think I know a thing or 5000 about music dickhead. The subject of the thesis was the production of the Hysteria album. SFTSL was their best sounding and selling album since Adrenalize so you are indeed full of it. Vivian Campbell is an amazing player also.

I really love this track, it's one of the better ones on Retro Active, but the whole album is amazing in my eyes!

I remember having it on replay for ages, and i never get sick of it.

I love this song. It captures Def Leppard's raw energy and power. This is one of DL's hardest rocking songs. It almost made the Hysteria album and in my opinion it should have. This song is really one of their best songs and should have been released as a single. Ring of Fire rocks!
