Robert Rodriguez says that he is going to adapt ALL the stories into the movies. When (if) he does, I hope he gets Josh Hartnett to reprise his role as The Colonel considering Frank Miller confirmed that The Man from this story IS The Colonel. Hopefully they don't end up changing it in the movie versions and cast someone else and make them different characters!
It's a short story taken from the issue The babe wore red and other stories. I like this one too, especially after i found out the real story behind this scene. The girl named "The customer" is involved with some member of the mafia, later she would find out and break up with him. The mafia member then swore to her that she would die in the most terrible way possible, and when it is least expected. The Customer, having connections, hires "The Salesman" to kill her. And so he does.
This is my favorite scene and this is my favorite movie........however I can't put this scene together in the movie, does the girl in red appear at any other part of the movie?????? does somebody know???
@vbnm1tth No I don't name of the track, but you could try asking at Yahoo Answers, or rent the movie and look at the credits it's a good movi so it's not like you Iwould be wasting your time watching it. 'm so sorry I don't know more than what I've given you.
@vbnm1tth i was replying to someone who wanted to know the name of music in the background of the scene NOT the ending where it switches to a seperate track.
This scene is just weird (of course, it's supposed to be): what did she do, call up Assassins R Us and say, "I am running from something and I don't want to do it anymore. I want a man to stalk me, walk up to me at a party, make creepy remarks about how sexy I am, take me in his arms...and shoot me." And the operator said, "Uh...okay, ma'am. The customer's always right-we aim to please"?
@Progo35 If you watch the movie with the commentary, Frank Miller explains to Mary Shelton (in almost his exact words) that her character had an affair with a man who turned out to be a criminal and once she found out, broke things off with him. The man became obsessed with her and told her she was going to die in a terrible way but she wouldn't know when or who was going to do it. She hires Josh Hartnett's character who is a hitman known as the lady killer to take her in that dark night gently.
The Way they put this film together (Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller) Was so great. I love the film because just to put together 1 short story and 3 yarns was brillant. And the music just gives you a feel that the movie will be very good.
I was always let down that the music in this scene wasn't included on the score release. The variations are good, but this exact version is PERFECT film noir music.
I love the scene, but the song isn't on the soundtrack. Does anyone know the name?

@javiervelazco25 It's just a short story in the comics. I personally see the movie as a compilation of stories... just like the comic book.

This scene is pure film noir. It's like a scene straight out of a Humphrey Bogart movie.

Yeh, he was paid to do so by her - that is why he says that he will never know what she was running from.
