  • song?

  • what is the name of the song?

  • why is there political argument on every single frickin video I watch? Good lord, go start a blog.... no one cares about your political rhetoric on youtube.

  • @TheProtocolsofzion obvious troll is obvious

  • /watch?v=PTSF5ItkyDY

  • @TheProtocolsofzion lol as a Jew I'm flattered by how much credit you give us considering we make up less than half a percentile of the entire world population! Peace brother!

  • This looks cool when I enlist in 2 years I hope to go airborne

  • im only 10 and know i know what i want to do

  • I was there for camp. :)

  • @TheProtocolsofzion Still posting your hatred Nazi boy? Muslims did 9/11 and blamed it one the Jews. You are just like Adolf Hitler trying to blame the Jews for their crimes in any way. Did you know that Muslims are taught a similar thing from birth? To lie for advantage or gain they call it either Taqqiyah or takkiyah. Evdidently they fed you so much of it that you actually believe that every atrocity committed by Muslims was committed by the Jews. Your disgusting.

  • im going to meps next tuesday, reserved 68w slot, anyone know the chances of getting opt 4 airborne in my contract?

  • Damn. This takes me back. I graduated Airborne School April 1994.

  • /watch?v=BwyDz1umJwM

  • Ten People don't have the guts to go airborne.

  • @aleenge lol, dumb spic.

  • @aquateenI16 He's speaking Portuguese you ignorant fuck.

  • @CUjoBitME stfu queer.

  • US Army Airborne all the way!

  • i wanna go airborne sooo bad....but my pt score is only a 272..but thats only after 2 tests in bct so ill improve...you need a 270 for airborne right?

  • @soldiergirl787 Nah, you only have to score 180 points, 60 points in each event using the 17 to 21 year age-group scale as the standard. If you made a 272 that's damn good. The highest you can make is like 300. Lol.

  • @Ladon68 well theres an extended scale too.im aiming for at least 300 when i go back for ait:) did you go to airborne school?

  • i second that...

  • amazing video! I WANNA KNOW WHAT THE SONG IS in the beginning its awesome!!

  • Airborne school isn't that hard. Not scary at all. I've flown on an Airplane 7 times on the 3rd time i jumped out.

  • a family friend of mine was in the airborne and on one of his jumps his static cord didnt release, so he was dragged behind the plane and slamming him against the side. They cut him loose not knowing if he was conscience or not, luckily he was. one in a million chance, just thought it was interesting any one here of that happening?

  • @tystratocaster 1 in a million occurance how long ago was that

  • @tystratocaster The only time the JM will cut you loose whether your conscience or not is in artic conditions. You would freeze to death befor they got you to a foamed runway. When I jumped thirty years ago, the Jumpmaster would brief you on a HUNG STATIC LINE, and the signal we use when we wanted to be cut-away was left hand on helmet and right hand over the reserve ripcord. If they cut your friend loose, he gave the Jumpmaster an ok signal.

  • im joining airborne soon. im feelin nervous though.

  • @Sexpistols15151 The majority of the candidates have some trepidation upon actually being at the School. It is mostly a mental reason rather than a physical reason why most candidates failed. Think about it, you're jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. If you have the heart, you will become Airborne. I still can't believe I graduated from Jump School in 1977 and served in the 82nd Abn.

  • @TheHoomaikai thank you for the service sir

  • This looks like fun yea buddy

  • Airborne, here I come.

  • I wish that the they still had the Para-Marines

  • @kotetsu852 Recon

  • GTAfan234 you need to go through airborne school to become a ranger. not also that but to become a ranger is more intese than being a marine i think.

  • scary

i rather join the army rangers

  • @GTAfan234 what xxcyyanna said but you also have to jump out of a plane to in ranger training bud,.

  • @nitro300 ITS NOT AIRBORNE RANGER ,,,,,,,,,,,,TO BE A RANGER YOU NEED TO PASS AIRBORNE SCHOOL EVERY RANGER ITS AIRBORNE IF YOU WANT TO BE RANGER YOU NEED TO FIRST PASS THIS SCHOOL..............IN 2 YEARS I WILL GO OR 1

  • @sk8mare23 thank you for the correction good luck in airborne school

  • @nitro300 no problemo and THx

  • Air Assault is more rigorous, technical, and useful ..but wont get you as far as Airborne will....either way a double stack says something about you.

  • Thanks for the memories. I´m a 1985 Abn School graduate and the only thing in the training that looks any different are the uniforms. Airborne all the way. God bless America!

  • The horrid music ruins the entire video.

  • @TeamWinters23 That is entirely your opinion, no matter how little your opinion counts >.>

  • @TeamWinters23 whhatt come on its not that bad, its punk rock

  • Comment removed

  • @death007007 thats really uncalled for!.

  • my parents always ask me:

Why would you wan't to jump OUT of a plane that was not about to crash? and into a land where people are going to shoot at you?

    And i would always respond:

Because if i don't step up then no one will.

  • @LeoRecon1 Pffft. What's your unit?

  • @LeoRecon1

    God bless you

  • @LeoRecon1 Airborne

  • @LeoRecon1 I love that saying :)

  • @LeoRecon1 shut up sound gay as fuck

  • @LeoRecon1 hooah

  • sometimes i think why would anyone want to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft, then I was like, "I would!" lol

  • cool...^_^

  • for all those that smtimes might get chills looking down, just do it...just think in ur head that its all safe...which it is...

  • @metalwaffle94 seems like the most insane thought in the world lol

  • thats kool man! ill see you there..im native american, the last name is Chasing Hawk..look for me haha

  • @15TUG haha yea man. Chasing hawk pretty badass name lol

  • well i have to say im not american and i dont support wars but being in the army makes you more man than anybody else, discipline obedience and experience i would like to be in the airborne

  • @ledzepp66 it really doesn't cause there's still a bunch of immature, undisciplined weaklings in it @ the 3 year mark....depends on ur job and duty station...what it truly does is make you bit arrogant like ur better than the average citizen...(which you sort of are, since u had the guts to do at least 3yrs of service) And airborne is the only way to go (as a bare minimum)

  • you going to be airborne 1Beltran1 if so? when leaving, same time as me?

  • @15TUG yea im going to be airborne. i leave september 20 from san antonio texas

  • im leaving for airborne infrantry sept 22nd...gonna be BADASS!!!!

  • haha i went through abn school two years ago... dam good times. now ranger school next month >=) hell yea

  • @aild1123

Good luck dood. you'll need it. I leave for BCT in July, and I'm hoping to earn my Ranger Tab as well.

  • @Doreiku good luck.... i'll be going to AirBorne school through my ROTC in College! lol. Pratice lots of running , and remember , practice the starting position of a push-up. You will hear this alot, "font leaning rest position, move!" lol...

  • i just went through airborne school and graduated a few days ago. :) heres my airborne video i put together

  • why doesn't this video work anymore?

  • god bless the USA

  • How are parachutists still needed? At least in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some guys may find this question dumb but I mean, how are they utilized in the current wars.

  • @skittlesareyum48 they aren't needed. Usually soldiers pursuing a SF career will go to this school. SF soldiers are trained in all aspects of warfare.

  • Heres an update. Navy has a jump school. Yes all services still go to this one because the navy one is in its infancy, but regardless the navy still has one. They do static line in 1 week!!! Wish I went to that one.

  • i wonder if any rangers are afraid of heights but join anyway

  • Probably

I dont think they would let heights stop em

  • Oh there are a few, just shut the eyes and pray!

  • @LukeLegere yeah there certainly are

  • @LukeLegere

probably, but BCT is meant to breaking them from there fears. whether its heights, tight spaces, water, etc. hey will break you from the fear

  • ALL people are afraid of heights that is what you are human for. You arent a monkey arnt you

  • well we come from being a monkey...

  • lol you know what i mean dont you

  • nee...:P

    nene jawel ze

  • really stupid stuff going on. this branch is better than that one, etc. "best" depends on the individual.

if you're in the military, get off YouTube and go claim more property for the US, or something. If you aren't, stfu because you have no clue what you're talking about.

    =D

  • I do agree !

    =D

  • @freefaller08 your talking about apples and oranges my friend. of course recon is going to be more advanced they should be there a special forces unit. airborne is not special forces. they are light infantry units dropped into battle. your recon airborne is trained by army at ft.bennin georgia also path finding same place trained by rangers. air assualt school ft. cambell KY army. recon and survalliance school also taught by the army rangers in ft bennin georgia i was there i should lol

  • Airborne trainings at fort Bennings intense

  • can you go to airborne school as an officer or as an enlisted soldier?

  • Both, you can have any job in the US Army also.

  • both u gotta talk to ur unit or u can get it in ur contract

  • thanks bro.

  • if you ask me Airborne is the best part of the military. and i will quote Maj. Dick Winters whn i get in and they say we wil be surrounded " We're Paratroopers sir. we're suposed to be surrounded."

  • what is the first song? please reply

  • I remember when I went back in 1994 during the winter. No gloves and it would be about 40 or so. I had the door position in my stick. I still remember when that door came up and the Jumpmaster gave the command "Stand in the door."

  • is that from medal of honor vanguard on ps2?

  • wats the first song answer please

  • Why the bubble gum music?

  • Airborne is safe but its scary as fuck :S

  • @Familyguylover0888 I guess first time eagle tower and first time Real life jump is scary...

  • @Soap1O lol....i said that one year ago...wow...lol and yes...jumping out of a plane off 1kfeet is...scary....alot

  • Ruff, good luck in Basic. Just give it 100% and take it seriously. Remember, lives will depend on what you learn in Basic.

  • I leave for basic 08/18/09

Fort benning and then go to airborne jan 11 i cant wait ready for a great expirence and life change any tips b4 i go?

  • Ruff-

    Here's a good tip. Don't fuck up.

  • dont do cocain

  • i want to go to airborne school soo bad but honestly i am scared to death

  • if it wasn't scary, would it be something you want to do in the first place?

  • Betcha it's hard making yourself jump outta that plane... Most people pass this school right? Because I've seen this on the Military Channel and it looked liked all the students were at the graduation ceremony.

  • WATCH ZEITGEIST DOCUMENTAL

  • I find the comments of people who say Airborne school is a joke sort of meaningless. the point of airborne school is to each you to jump out of a plane, and land with out messing yourself up. That's it. If you can do that upon departure, then its served its purpose.

  • ha exactly lol, see im doin this and when im done the bus for ranger school will be waiting for me lol

  • Good luck with that. Airborne was fun. Did airborne and ranger school 23 years ago. ...Ranger school, now that was a tough school (physically exhausting -- lost 35 pounds, and had to repeat 1 phase). ...HOOAH

  • I wish the Canadian forces would bring back the Airborne Regiment because all we have are 3 Jump Companies that can't be called a big force to be rekon with as it's only 3 companies not even in the same regiment... I might try to do a petition

  • airborne school is a joke all you need to make it out to yuma proving grounds and do a HALO jumpe then you can talk

  • have you done a HALO jump or even jump school?

  • How can you get in an argument over who's better? Airborne school is a joke. It was fun, but it was a joke.

  • what song is playing at the beginning?

  • Do Marines have an Airborne branch?

  • no just the army

  • marines have recon teams that go to airborne school

  • I want to join the Marines and go to the Army Airborne school as well as some other schools needed to be Recon, but I might not be able to directly make that choice.

  • you dont need any of these schools to be recon. They are just in the pipeline.

  • yes they have and airborne branch they go on the same missions and the same school as army airborne

  • lol NO they dont have an "airborne branch"

  • To SKOTT14568: I think you must be mis-informed about Marines having a "branch" (whatever that is) of "airborne". Only the U.S. Army has "divisions" and "brigades" of Airborne units. Now you can have me and others "stand corrected " by being more specific about U.S. Marine "Branches". I DO know that the Marine Corp SENDS Marines to the Army Airborne jump school because they don't train on Marine bases for this.

  • very true

  • the army, marines, navy, and air force all do their airborne at the same place

  • You're right! The Army !

  • bro marines are sea and air assualt light forces. they dont have 130s to hall them around. thats why the marines have the navy and their own fighters and helos, they are meant for beach assualts and short inland attacks. thats their purpose. the army is the land force which is why they have airborne units. try not to talk till you serve and learn.

  • Marines do Airborne school at fort benning, if they are lucky. Less than 1 percent most likely. As a matter of fact, one of the special forces instructor for Halo was a marine named Schindler. He had well over 5000 jumps. Ironically, he died in Hemet California skydiving with a skydiving team. Just last year infact. Recon Marines are also much more trained than Rangers, but there are exceptions. Rangers don't do SERE, all Recon must. Some Recon Marines even go thru Ranger School, not Rip.

  • Actually, what you say is true on paper, but not in reality.

Marines and Army soldiers have almost identical responsibilities in reality. But the key difference is that Marines are more expeditionary while the army is more mechanized.

  • yup. its in my job description as an infantryman, sustained ground assault through mobilized or airborne assaults. a majority of our inf divs are mech and heavy div, most light inf divs are actually national guard units believe it or not.

  • The airborne's light infantry. They're part of the regular army.

  • yes i know. im in the army and i have 35 jumps under my belt. army, regular army through out the rest of the army, the majority of normal army infantry divisions are heavy mech units. the marines are an all light strike force. we are a sustained ground combat tasked force in the army. we have larger supply chains than the marines. which is why we are better supplied. the marines are made for strike invasions. airborne is armys strike force. 173rd 82nd 25th ID STB ABN and of course the Rangers.

  • Thanks.

I suppose the 101st Airborne too? After all, you can't forget the Screaming Eagle, Bastards of Bastogne!

  • oh for sure. the 101 has kept their shit squared away for all these years. they take their heritage seriously as they should. but yeah they are classified as a light inf. div.

  • my grandpa was a Screaming Eagle at the siege of bastogne!

  • Then you have a lot to be proud about...

  • yeah but they do helicopter operations not parachute jumps i think. im pretty sure of that someone can verify

  • Helicopter insertion is the role of heavy infantry (AirCav).

While a sizable portion of the soldiers in the 82nd and 101st don't have jump wings, the divisions are still organized around large division-scale insertions by parachute.

  • 101st isnt airborn no more its air assult so ur right on tht but 82nd did air bourn operations in iraq and afganastan (forgive my spelling) 82nd either does air operations or foot they try to avoid heli operations but they do some does tht awnser ur quistion?

  • 101st pathfinders and a select few units do traditional static line jumps. Lately the 5th Special Forces group has been flying around doing a mix of static-line and HALO/HAHO jumps.

I would know, I live on Fort Campbell, I see their C130's fly over my house all the time.

  • airborne does parachute jumps, air assault does helicopter drop ins. both are difficult gentlemen schools, though air assault is considered considerably harder. hope that helped.

  • yeah but airborne is much more respected.

  • Ya 101st is helicopter

  • great video. what songs did you use?

  • I remember going through in may of 89.B/co 507 . I remember seeing Marines quit in the saw dust pit. That school to me was easy considering what was next! 2ND RANGER BN 89-93 OPERATION JUST CAUSE . 5TH SPECIAL FORCES 93-02.

  • and the ARMY does everything in their power to fail out Marines.

  • OK I am a hold under to attend airborne school and ill try to clear up a few things. Your recruiter if he thinks you can make it he will put you through airborne school. my father is a recruiter and he wont let just anyone get it in their contract. Or like me get airborne school by earning it by proving your in physical and mental shape to succeed in AIT or BCT your laison can give you a slot. National guard and reservists can get it through request from their unit. hope this helped a little bit

  • does army infantry maintain the same level of combat excellence as marine infantry?

  • well duh infantry is infantry, both have excellence in combat

  • HOOAH A CO 1-19 4 PLT. We are trained better

  • wtf no

u actually get approved by your by your commanding officer and let him know u want to go then u go to a recruiter office or your commanding officer depending where u are then u get a contract to go to airborne school which reserves u a spot at the school

  • Is that a woman at 5:56? Helmet number 53....

  • yep sure is..girls can be airborne..im going in a few months..and yes i know we dont look the best in uniform ha

  • girls can be airborne qualified yes, but girls cant be airborne infantry

  • How crazy is it to think of becoming a green beret. I'm still in high school but it's a dream of mine to be special forces. I'm a black belt martial artist, run and workout almost everyday and have good grades in school. I was just wondering how difficult the selection process is for rangers/ green berets.

  • Jeff, you can enlist with 18X mos which is SF candidate. You can also enlist with 11 series MOS option 40 which is Ranger school.

With Ranger school, you finish Basic, AIT, Jump then go to a 4 week Ranger course to see if you pass the requirements. After that you are assigned to a Ranger battalion until you are seen ready to complete Ranger school. Only NCO's or officers can attend.

Thats what I remember about the process anyone else correct me if I left something out.

  • Corrections: RIP is now roughly 3 weeks depending on the training company.

    PVT's can attend Ranger school.

    That is all. :)

  • Cherry!!!

  • I was IOBC and jump school at Benning. I was with the 3/505 in the 82nd. I have a combat patch on my right shoulder,,101st. I also have 3 rows of medals and that CIB. I was a LT,,71542. I can sleep at night.
