I have a cousin here at the Philippines, he use to study here getting quite bad grades but then he migrated to america and continue his studies for some reason then he suddenly became more than what I have expected, hes one of the smartest on his class... :)

i totally agree with you. this issue is not something to whine about. that just shows HOW PATHETIC MOST FILIPINOS are. tghe whole world knows we have a lot of sense of humor yet when others throw some jokes about us, we whine about it. totally pathetic.

You're right but most of them aren't pathetic, some Filipinos are often happy to hear the word "Filipino" or "The Philippines" on US media but not in racist jokes like bad med school or stereotyping our country for being like Thailand(as seen from an episode in Family Guy)

well who would think stereotyping the philippines would make some filipinos happy? of course, none. pati rin ako hindi natuwa sa sinabi ni terry hatcher pero maliit lang naman na bagay 'yun. kahit 'yung sa BBC show o yung sinabi mong sa Family Guy case na hindi ko pa napapanood, hindi naman grabe. kung tutuusin, media lang ang mga ito. hindi dapat pinagdradramahan. mas maraming importanteng problema ang dapat nating tugunin, not things like this.

No it's alright. Pinoy din ako and your right. Hindi nga maganda talaga tama yung sinabi ni Teri Hatcher and the script that they wrote for her. I know other jokes about us that were funny and not over the the top like how Rob Schneider called himself a "Filipino" - Jew(but that's his problem because he's Half and not full) .
