Sony Vegas Pro 10, it costs 500 bucks though.

I started learning to use the program year ago.

It's pretty simple for a simple video, but you'll need to know all the functions to create a proffesional work.

There isn't lot of simple templates, you need to combine and customize which means the possibilities are almost endless.

Though it sucks at motion effects, if you want motion fx and all that then Adobe After Effect is the right program.

I also use it for making AMVs.
