On November 11, 2008 Los Angeles sports radio host Jim Rome referred to Canadian soldiers as cowards. I strongly encourage people to contact him at : rome@haveatake. c o m
i remember that. i think he did end up getting into some trouble. i don't even know what possesses a man to even utter such a statement. i had sent him an email and of course heard nothing.
To each and every one who stands on those overpasses...what you have done...... I can't continue...I served for 21 years and my son began basic training today (10 Nov).. Thank You. I told my son that his sacrifice would have meaning...
As a member of the US Patriot Guard, and avid lurker on here. I was glad to see the other night on the new US TV show, Flashpoint. I was glad too see the tribute on/of the highway of heroes, it was not overly dramatized but honor was given. Hopefully this word get out from that simple display.
Sorry, as a show, now shown in America( I did not know was a Canadian show). Hopefully this nationally brodcast show, can show many more about the tributes to our hereos, fallen and alive when they come home.
I should have known it was not American made, as american TV/hollywood would not have anything to do with the welcoming home of our hereos.
Thank you CA. TV for creating a show that honors those that gave a sacrifice to all of us. US and CA.
Thank you for Serving, this was a grass roots movement and the "government" didn't get involved until later on. God Bless ALL who serve yourself included.
thanks go all who go out on these overpasses.
and we shall remember the living and wounded who come home also.
I extend my deepest sympathy and respect. Though I've never met or spoken to Cpl. Starker, he holds my regard and support. Having a brother currently overseas, I can somewhat understand. However, I cannot duplicate the pain and suffering caused by a loss of a loved one. I wish to thank you all, the family and friends of Cpl. Starker. Thank you for your sacrifice and love. I stand fast behind our troops, and I pray for your safe return.
I would like to thank you for posting this wonderful video tribute to our fallen hero, Cpl. Mike Starker. I am a co-worker of Mike's and so many of us at Calgary EMS would have liked to have been there yesterday when he arrived on Canadian soil. Thank you for allowing us to see the tremendous support. For me personally, this video helps the grieving process with losing someone so important to us, and the rest of the nation. My sincerest of thanks.
Thank You, as a friend of Nic & Mike's it was a nice selection. One thing about Mike,he luv'd creating tapes and eventually cd's of music he luv'd. I still have tapes that he created. This would have been one of the songs that he would have choosen.
With tears, I thank you for taking time to remember.
You are very welcome, I knew this song would touch the people who he was close with. and that is why I chose it. I am 17 years old and my uncle left yesterday for a 6 week tour. I will miss him while he is gone. I am very sorry for your lose. Send me regards to his family.
