  • Very nice playing! Question though - what was your reasoning for not using the different mallet types?

  • @JasonDeCristofaro I decided not to use others because of various reasons. One is that I didn't own proper rubber mallets at the time, and the other was since the marimba has changed so much from the time this was written, mallets have as well. Some of the directions regarding mallets I take with a grain of salt. Had I been playing this with an orchestra I might have seriously considered some of the choices, but under the circumstances, that was my decision at the time.

  • where can i get this music??????

  • @luistollinchi This comment may a little late, but I'm pretty sure I ordered this from a company in France... Enoch et Cie? Je ne sais pas...

  • SO awesome!

  • great job!I like how you play

  • amazing

  • nice job! i played the concerto with a orchestra. this is even harder...cause the accompanist should play very much in time! what she(your) and even more my orchestra did not do very well. otherwise this piece sounds bad and somehow like chaos. there are so many nice rythmic things in this piece...

  • what a dreadful accompanist.

    you sound great though!

i have an amazing recording of this concerto.

  • Such gorgeous and lush music.

  • wow man you're pretty good!!!! good job

  • are you tammy fischer's student?

  • Yes he is. . .

I know this 'cause I'm his sister!

    Yay boy!

  • I saw your Bach Cello suite at state this year then. I'm the dude who went before you that butchered the Musser B major etude. Man, you've got some chops.

  • you make an absolutely lovely sound. heard this concerto once before but don't know it at all, would be good to learn. v good playing, only comment would be that i think that sometimes you could look more involved. I know it's dreadful to pose, but if you watch a pianist play they will always be cokpletely absorbed so why shouldn't a marimba player be?! good stuff

  • You sound great!!!...I know like 15 concertos and believe it or not I've never heard or played this one. Thanks for putting it up :-)
