haha, this "commercial" looks so real. Same though, when i saw commercials for these, i thought they were the same movie. haha. I can't stop watching the illusionist either, but i thought Christain Bale and Hugh Jackman did a better job acting than Edward Norton...
i prefer the prestige because it was more complex and i thought edward norton was a bit miscast. i watched it a while back though so i've forgotten bits and pieces. any thoughts?
The presitge is better i agree. I thought Norton did a good job though. They were actually very different movies. The prestige is a supernatural thriller about obsession and revenge and The illusionist is a fantasy romance about well love. I saw the prestige first and loved it. a few weeks later i saw the illusionist expecting another supernatural thriller. I was wrong. The prestige had the amazing twist at the end that still made sense. The illusionist had an okay twist. Both good movies though
really really great...so professional...clever..wonderfull..but i saw both movies and i think they r great and different...the only similarity is magic:)that's what i think:)
okay..i just to comment...i watched the prestige b4 the illusionist..and i really liked it..but wen i saw the illusionist..i just cudnt stop watchin it.. (had to buy the dvd)..overrall they both were good..but i definetly loved the illusionist more..its a great movie..and an instant faveourite of mine..Yep ed looks great (like always)..but this movie totally rocks..and this is an awesome trailer too
Thank you! I completely agree - Now...Do yourseld a favor and read The Prestige (the book). Many similarities, but a very different story. Great book.
While both are about magicians, they really are very different stories--one is a story of love, another of obsession and revenge. Both are good, and quite different, though the Illusionist is better IMO (and most people I've talked to agree). But cute idea! :) And very clever fake trailer...
Yeah, don't know what's the point of doing two similar movies at the same time either. I loved The Illusionist, didn't see The Prestige yet but will do it. Nice video anyway:)
That was a GREAT trailer... personaly i enjoyed both The Illusionist and the prestige very much, however... overall The Illusionist was a stronger 'story'... the prestgue was a stronger 'tale'...
great video! i loved how the scenes fit so perfectly together. the illusionist was an excellent film!! i haven't seen the prestige yet but it looks pretty good.
I tottaly love it!!! Excellent job!!! :DD

The Illusionist has a great storyline. However it isn't very well placed on screen. The Prestige has both a great story and an inredible film work.

Wow, that was quite splendid! How did you get the effect of the titles at the end? It looks very professional (as does the rest of the clip).
I can't choose between the two movies, they are both so terrific. I think I like The Illusionist slightly better, but then...I don't know!

THANKS! I did the effect in on my mac using Final Cut Suite - (LIVE TYPE). Also, cut in Final Cut Pro...

Are those programs only for MAC? Sorry, I'm not really "educated" in these things..
But yes, very good editing!

It works great, and is fun to watch, but it's not very comedic.
