  • No it's not to late to join.

There's a girl in my club who started at 16 and did artistic.

she started at leve l4 so you should have a go.

  • I found, the video is very good.

  • its amazing but they wear WAY to much makeup

  • I like it. Music itself is really beautiful, but I think too ad to this movie.

  • 1:36

    OMG o___o

  • These gymnasts all have the BEST leotards!

  • anyone know what piece of music this is? i love it!!

  • They make regular gymnasts look like a fail

  • its amazing how flexible these girls are. Videos like these keep me inspired to be more flexible. So beautiful.

  • AMAZING!THEY ARE SO FLEXIBLE.....

  • cuz the song sounds so sad

  • COMMENT OF RANDOMNESS:

i hate how peoples have a different colour apparatus to their leotard... it really bugs me...

told u the comment was random...

    xD

  • No sometimes it's good, because it adds a bit of contrast and brightness to the routine, but your right sometimes it's really annoying.

  • haha indeed, lovely leo's in this video btw, but it's annoying how it sometimes just doesn't fit well. But pvess123 is right, it would be boring if they'd all have too common colour matching

  • ...wow...

  • So beautifull.. the gym is so great..

  • it's beautiful......

  • brava(good) i love it!!!!!!

  • that was really beautiful

  • sooo beautiful!

  • whats the title of this song?

    i love it!

  • i love the movie but the song is depperessing -_-

  • how is it depressing??!!!

  • what the gymnast at 1.44 m ???

  • This is an Australian Gymnastics montage. The girl at 1.44 is Elena Kotova ( i am sorry, i do not know how to spell her name... i appologize)

  • isn't the song comptine d'un été yann tiersen? I think so ^^'

  • i love rhythmic gymnastics....the only problem is that you lose your curves and boobs and you'd have troubles having kids...

whats more important...boobs or extreme flexibility....having babies.....man this is hard.....

  • why would it be hard having kids

  • because they have no fat and no hips to carry the children. they would have horrible ugly stretch marks, and it would be tough for their bodies to carry them from lack of hip bones and no cushin from lack of fat in that area, and rough tovhave them go thru the birth canal. plus they have no boobs to feed the babies.

  • OMG! thats not tru my trainer was the champion of europe and she was skinny as heck! she had a son and her son is healthy and she has normal breasts, and she used them to feed her son. ur stupid! and she had amazing curves and stuff. and a lot of gymnast do nowadays. only the girks her dont in this vid!

  • big boobs aren't a requirement for breast feeding and as long as the gymnast remains healthy, childbirth shouldn't be anymore difficult for her than it would for any other small framed woman.

  • im not saying its any harder for her than other small girls...i'm saying its harder for small girls period...

  • The song made me cry :(

  • I really love RG , but i do think its too late for me to start it. im 13. im not looking for competitive RG . i just wanna do it for fun. id love to have those ribbons hoola hoops and the balls they work with. i have no where to go to get trained, but i can train myself .. i hope.

  • No. It`s not to late, my friend started when she was 12 and she`s verry impressiv. I`ve done rhythmic gymnastic since i was 5 and know that it`s not too late...

  • what if ur 13, but your really flexible and can do front and back walkvoers, cartwheels, and splits, and you start rhythmic gymnastics? is that bad?

  • It's never bad to start.

It seems like it though, doesn't it? There are some who are quite amazing when they join in their teens, but a fair portion of most international athletes start when they are younger because the flexibility that comes with youth can be both maintained and improved with strength and power.

But that's not to say it's impossible to get to that calibur when older; It's just a little harder.

  • What's the name song!??

    I love it!! ^^

    Is Amazing!

  • Pretty sure the song is "First Love" piano version, by a Japenese music group. It's lovely!

  • Just did a search and for the life of me I can't find it, it's not First Love but I was also sure it's by Utada Hikaru.. Sorry couldn't help more ;)

  • Beautiful. Thank you for uploading :)

  • Amazing vid. I always wanted to RG ^^

  • I want to do this so badly. The motion and the grace is flawless, I understand the hard work to do this and I'm dedicated enough to do thus.

  • PWEESE READ THIS!!

this vid is amazing..RG is the best sport in the world..

and i want to join so bad but im an artistic gymnast..im pretty flexible..like i can do chest sits and rolls and hyperextended bridges and splits..but im 14..is it too late to start RG?? please mail me..thank u soo much. and this vid is totally amazing..

  • I'm sorry to say but I believe it is late. Rhythmic is not only about flexibility, you need many skills you do not learn in other sports. Even the floor is different than what you are used to in Artistic.

And the greatest problem is apparatus technique.Even the smallest childs (at 4-5 years) start to learn that to get used to it, to get the dexterity etc.

Of course, you could still do it just for fun, if you can find a club which doesn't work only with gymnasts of competition level.

  • I myself think that if you train somewhere around 20 hrs a week like me,

    and work EXTREMELY HARD.

    you may get somewhere.

14 is late, but people say 9 is late, and I started at age 9, and now I am 13 and in level 9.

    <3

good luck, and you should definately try=]

  • 9 IS NOT LATE!

your still a kid then, if your over 11 then thats a bit late

  • yea right, dont leave stupid comments like that okay?

  • i agree, but youre in level 9 ?? and youre 13 ??? wouldnt it be level 5 b ????

  • gymnasticfan , No it isnt

  • @gymnasticfan, I have to (respectfully) disagree. ;)

I began rhythmic at age 13, coming from an artistic gymnastics. I had never done RG. I wasn't flexible. I worked hard, practiced a lot outside training, and went far in the sport. I learned apparatus technique as a teen, and I found that older girls are usually better with the apparatus because they can understand the motions. I coach now, so I'm speaking as both a gymnast and coach. Older girls can be very successful in this sport. :)

  • @gymnasticfan Forgot to mention: most of the girls on my team began as teens, too, so as long as you put some serious effort into it, you can start a bit late and at least make progress. Maybe not the Olympics, but then again, how many girls get there, anyway? You can still have great success in smaller competitions. It's never too late...I'm coaching one gymnast now who is 20 and started only four years ago! She's very good now because of hard work and passion for RG. :) Yerofeeva began at 13!

  • Hi. i noticed your comment and would like to say... I started RG when i was 14 and had no training apart from what i had taught myself so i joined up not expecting to go far and i am now 19 and have competed all over the place and am doing well. 14 is late to start and hard to do well but it is possible because i have experianced it. you just have to get into the right club and try very hard. but you should still go for itttt! Good luck :D

  • 14 is not too late. my best friend stared rhythmic at your age and two years on she's in a state level. anything can happen. good luck. xx

  • no way. i think you should go for it. theres this girl and she just started rg and shes in level 4 in artistic and is in level 2. she was only 11 but she started doing competition and came first over all. i strated when i was 12 and i'm moving to level 7 next year

  • no it definatly isn't i started when i was 14 and my coach said it doesn't matter what age u start you'll do well if u love it and want 2do well!

  • Of corse you can do rhythmic gymnastics just because ur 14 duznt mean that you cant do it if u try your hardest u will improve for sure but its never 2 late <3

  • lilgymnastbabi33 , No it is NOT!

Because you have flexiblity and you just have to train hard, and a AG gymnast is as good as an RG gymnast. Both sports needs the same thing, balance flexiblity, strenght and more. So NO it is NOT to late for you :)

    Sorry for the bad english.

  • Love my sport :)

  • lol....i kno one of the girls in that video....

  • That makes me so sad :(

They are soo good and I can't go rsg.

  • nice!!!

  • Are these girls from australia?

  • yea

  • This looks very similar to dance, just with more of an acrobatic theme; similar technique as well. Very cool. Even though quite a few dancers are equally flexible, you can definitely see the emphasis of flexibility in this sport. Amazing!

  • dat music is so pretty! nd all d gymnasts r class!!

  • do any of you girls do rhythmic gymnastics at the HPC?

  • I used to go to HPC. I quit two years ago... Why?

  • yea, im a guy, and i played soccer for 5 years, so i wasnt that flexibel, but now i can do the split =)you just have to try, and dont give up, u can olso do things like: making ur homework in a split (as far as u can spread your legs)

  • no, i learned how to do the splits (forward and saddle) when i am 15-which is this year! the things that help me going is to trudt in myself and pass thogh the pain.

  • I do this, it's an amazing sport.

  • ugh. wish i could kick the back of my head standing up xD

wonderful video... to whoever did make it.

  • i wish i could be one of those girls

  • I think you can start. Some 14 years old girls start RG and they can do bridges even. If you want to start, be careful.

    -Hooby-

  • hey babigirl201: you are NOT way too old too start. i'm 13 and i just started, hehe and i'll be competing in Jan.

  • wow i really in joied this

  • I know most of these girls! I went to their gym. HPC, Green street. Most of them quit, I did too recently. These girls are really nice and the coach (Lisa Bradley) is the best coach ever!

    xx.

  • why did u quit? it must be really hard as your progress

  • I quit because I had alot of pressure on me. The coaches werent very nice to me either. I wasnt having fun and the coaches allways told me off when I wasnt doing anything wrong! But one of the coaches also said One of The Girls looked Fat infront of everyone. She quit aswell as her sister. Its not a fabulous place to learn gym.. :)

  • oh wow. i know a few girls from HPC who do artistic gymnastics. some of them have gone to worlds. and the others are still to young. most of them are at my school monette russo was last year but she graduated

  • Do you know Elena (Lena?) Kotova? What happened to her? Why is she not famous, she looked better than Kim or Naazmi. Thanks!

  • I didnt know her very well because she was alot older than me. I would tell you why she quit but it is abit personal. I hope you understand.. (:

  • BEAUTIFUL!!! BRAVO...

  • does anyone know the name of this song?i'd love to play this on the piano..

  • sO BEAUTIFUL!

  • woah the girl in white is a full on body contortionaist!

  • Hi there,

nice video but what is a "leotard"???

  • A tight-fitting garment of stretchy material that covers the body from the shoulders to the thighs (and may have long sleeves or legs reaching down to the ankles); worn by ballet dancers and acrobats for practice or performance

  • oh lovely montage - I like the leotard at 1.24

  • Nice, but I'm in love with the very first leotard in the video.

  • Gripping a ball with your folded spine is kinda creepy looking.

  • I'm not sure, but I think that the music is by Ahren Starcks/Starks.

  • beautiful!

    thank you for posting

  • this video is great!!!

  • Hmm.... Where did the last message I sent go?

  • And, could you upload the music you used in this montage for me? Thanks!

  • Sorry, as I said I didn't make this video, so no matter how gladly I would give you at least the title, I have no idea what this music is. I am so sorry.

  • Great! Who's the girl in the white leo at 00.49? She's also somewhere near the end. She looks very good! =D

  • No idea =) I am not very familiar with Rhythmic Gymnasts... I only know the greatest stars.

(Btw, have you ever got the message I sent you?)

  • Lena Kotova, one of Australia's best. couldve gone to the olympics...

yeah she used to be my best friend in primary school :S *remembers*

  • She looks like sucha gorgeous gymnast. Would you happen to have any info, videos or pictures of her?

  • Great to see all those Australian Stars!
