Awesome! I LOVE the Bengles! I always thought that lead singer chic was hot. The energy and stage presence is just awesome...Look atem...all hot and stuff. Oh wait...those are dudes? Ok, now I feel creepy... and totally let down.
I think that they had bands in mind like New Order and Pink Floyd in mind when they continued the band without its singer/ songwriter. You think that just because they lost their right arm that they couldn't go on but its a gamble that they took and i respect that for that.
What in the fuck are you dildos doing? This shit is not cool, the dumb bitch lead singer is stumming her air guitar when there is no chords being played. I hope you fuckers were doing some serious drugs before this video, otherwise you all should be dragged out in the street and shot... numerous times in the head.
That's harsh. The band will no doubt be hurt to hear you say that. After all, I'm sure they put all their talents in to creating this and meant it as a work of art to be taken seriously.
Hey Racer You couldnt be more true with that statement..I know Stans music is now very diferent but he was the best punk frontman ever I swear he had everything for the punk style on WOV EP/Dark Continent..
They should have changed the name from Wall of Voodoo when Stan left. This is not Wall of Voodoo nor is it anything like what WOV really was. This is more like Wall of Doodoo.
@RacerX929 The first album without Stan was ok. It wasn't as good as anything with him but it wasn't horrible. The cover of Johnny Cash's Dark as the Dungeon, Far Side of Crazy, Faded Love, Mona, and This business of Love are all pretty good songs and I know WOV and Stan Ridgeway as well as most hardcore fans.
Wow! I always felt embarrassed to admit it, but I always liked WOV with Andy better than WOV with Stan. (Although I've seen Stan solo live, and he's great.)
I think Andy is BETTER than Stan. He brought a soulfulness and dark complexity that just wasn't there with Stan (and yes, I like the Stan stuff too). And Andy's solo stuff blows Stan's solo stuff out of the water any day!
having looked at this a few times now, I can see that it is Andy Prieboy and Chas Gray. I think we may have to admit sadly that it is indeed Wall of Voodoo. They must have been as high as a kite to have done this, at least that is what I am hoping.
@Tunesmth AMEN DUDE! Iget so sick of people saying someone is on drugs just because they're having a good time! I think if you believe people are on drugs you're just projecting the fact that you need drugs to be "entertaining" so everyone should shutup and enjoy the vid.
WOV, yes. Bangles singing, not on your life. Those places rarely had the rights to the real songs, and opted for much cheaper knock-offs.

bluegreenleather20: No way. I've seen WOV MkII, as you put it, on two successive Australian tours and Chas T. Gray was there both times.

No, I am from the senior class of '85. Early '80s new romantic at one time.

midnightmind 4 years ago
7 Days in Sammystown has a few good songs (and one of the best WOV songs period... Far Side of Crazy), but I never listened to the album after.
VernianProcess 4 years ago
It isn't Wall of Voodoo with Stan. That is Any Prieboy out front. Stan was long gone.
Tunesmth 4 years ago
No it cant be Wall Of Voodoo.
There last album was Call Of The West in 82.
That Bangles came out with Different Light in 85. I dont think the song was out 3 years before the album came out.
And the Bangles dsebuted in 1983.
There ya go can be Wall Of Voodoo, or at least with Stan Ridgeway
midnightmind 4 years ago
that's your logic? retard, it's clearly marc, andy and chaz. god. you logic is pooptard

Yeah, I can clearly make out Marc, Andy, and Chaz, but who's the kook in the back?

Assuming all is correct, this is awesome. Funny how I can find this but not Sammystown... =)

This is Wall of Voodoo, and if you knew them at all you would know it is their brand of humor. And it is, in fact, the Bangles signing.
Tunesmth 4 years ago
instead of "wa-oh,wa-oh", they're singing "a-hole,a-hole"

but, that's not even the Bangles singing, is it? sounds like 'muzak'...
