@kenny11312 Well in the japanese movies ninjas use almost only swords and throwing stars while flying around in open fight.Thats of course is not true in real fight.The word "ninja" means stealth spy killer and assasin, which means: ambush,attack from behind,element of suprise,poisons,traps,kill enemy while he sleep. Even in ancient times ninjas use all weapons and the word "ninja" is 100% contrary to the "fair fight"

Btw how you can expect to fight only with sword against 50+ enemies with guns?

@LORDVADER357 eh.... no ninja is a assasin from japan in the 1800 - 1900 and they working for hwo call sensei. and did you know ninjas dont go foward and kil they kill in the darkness and shadows. how smart is it to use a gun. when you shot somebody you ben sense. think. and a ninja dont go and fight somebody they hide and when they have the perfect time they kill Carefully and quietly.

I rented this from the video store circa 1985/86. That was around the time I checked out a new ninja film each weekend. I saw all the Sho Kosugi films and even saw the TV movie: The Last Ninja starring Micheal Beck (Swan from The Warriors). This was during 5th and 6th grade. I was conducting my own ninja missions by then!

same here! It was around '85 to '86 when I discovered this movie. Somehow it seemed a little more brutal than the Sho Kosugi movies.. probably because it was more realistic.

I used to work at a music/movie store, and we had a rental section. I made this movie "my pick" for curious customers, knowing how bad it truly was. Every time someone would come back with some comment like "Dude, this ninjas weren't even cool." We always gave them a free rental after taking this one home as compensation from falling for our joke.

After seeing 3 of MHO's films I have to say that in this one he does get it the most right... bear in mind though that he's still waaay off;)

But it makes one wonder... the trailer do suggest that somewhere in Newline Cinemas archive there are a fullblown 35mm print of this film... I wonder what it looks like in its anamorphic scope glory (as the lensflares suggest).
