That's the reason he gave to neutral nations when he freed slaves in the South. It was part of the war effort. There were slave states that remained loyal to the Union and Lincoln was afraid of alienating them during time of crisis. By the time the slaves were freed in the South and the Confederacy was defeated, it was too late for the loyal slave states to do much to resist the anti-slavery movement.

no, pretty much all of its culture is derived from europe. the clothes, the language, the worldviews, religion, social norms. of course there are differences since 500 years has made some changes, but essentially, the roots remain the same.

Well, for clothes, when Europeans arrived, they weren't wearing shirts and jeans, leather jackets and sunglasses. Today's dress is the result of fashion's independent evolution. Language; don't care, as long as it functions properly. Worldviews today are all about the same throughout the world, peace and stability being most dominant. Religion; I personally find all religions to be bull; Atheist. Social norms; social norms are also generally similar throughout the world.

wether it functions or not, my point is it all is european at its roots, which is fine. its annoying for people to assume that they stop being european because they are on another land. worldviews are not the same, they vary around the world, same with social norms. not that any is better, but cultures should be allowed to flourish and grow on their own, not dominated.

those arent what i mean by worldviews. those are examples of ethics more or less. worldviews are more like how different cultures view the world and how it works, mans place in it.
asking me how liberation will happen is like asking how i am going to win a chess game. i dont know. all i know is we will use demographics, politics, economics, and education all in a non-violent way.

yes, a convergence will eventually happen. the biggest obstacle today is that some peoples and cultures are being snuffed out. before there can be universal unity, there must be universal respect. hence my stance on Indigenous liberation, and the liberation of oppressed peoples worldwide.

We know better. We know the people you stand for aren't going to "share it." We live in reservations, in villiages, in varrios. We are "sharing" it the same way a slave and a master shares the farm.
