  • And 7 lebanese did not like this vid, lol

  • Mashallah, your beauty radiates from inside of you. I whole heartedly agree with everything you've said. Being African, Ethiopian, we experience the same racism/prejudice in Arab communities.

I loved your vlog and being African and proud.

  • I thinkit is that whites are less OPENLY racist than arabs not necessarily less racist. Also, I didn't think you were being reverse racist or making dark skin seem superior, but just pointing out the many good qualities of being a dark skinned person since we have so many negative stereotypes associated with our skin color and people. I am also african btw.

  • We are half Arab, half African Jasmine and we speak the best Arab accent among all Arabs. I am proud to be Sudanese and proud of you too sister. Keep it up and just ignore all these stupid comments and I am sure you will succeed more and more.

  • @markee871 my mother in law lives in lebanon and she constantly gets rude comments and gets treated bad :(

  • 5:46

For some reason that made me think of the saying "Good black don't crack."

  • Your beautiful MashaAllah ..May Allah keep you strong and protect you !!! luv ya <3

  • You hit the nail on the head ugh our faith was the first to not tolerate racism and for it to be prevalent and so blatantly is abhorrent and should not be excused anywhere.

  • errm. I love those gurlz who talks a lot..:D

    Btw.. You are so 7abooba

  • errm. I love those gurlz who talks a lot..:D

    Btw.. You are so 7abooba

  • You need to read the book by Chancellor Williams called The Destruction of Black Civilization, issues from 2.500 B.c. to 2000 a.C. you will get alot on the africa issue. I am not african, I am more from berber/arab descendency BUT angolan husband and proud of it :)

  • Not all lebanese are racist..you can find racism among any people in any country.. Its not right to say alot of racism comes from arabs.. Racism comes from every race.. And to say alot of arabs are racist and rant about how black skin is better is its own form of racism. Your making it seem like being black or african is better anyways.

  • @ginaincolor She never claimed all Lebanese are racist. It's a fact, it's not fun being black in Lebanon (and a few other Arab countries). And I'm sure we are all aware that racism can be found anywhere and can come from any people (that why it's called racism). She never disputed or insinuated this point. Also, she never said black skin is "better." She was very clearly pointing out the perks of having darker skin. The video is called "Born this way." She is happy to be how Allah made her.

  • @ginaincolor Im sorry but your argument makes no sense. So if ther eis racism in America that means racism is ok. So what if racism is everywhere! we as Muslims should set the example. Also, Arabs were NEVER part of the white race. Europeans will never accept Arabs as white people. If you read your history you would know that Arabs originally were proud of their darker skin color and wrote poems about that. Since Islam spread, Muslims intermarried Persians/Romans/Ottomans..aka lighter skin

  • @ginaincolor Also, there are 3 races in the world(Black,White,Asian). Trust me, Arabs have a history of racism. Recently they seem to have a obsession with white people. Go on every Forum and you will see that Arab women ALWAYS post pics of white babies/white singers as their avatars. There is a lot of self hatred. It's no secret. Also, Ive seen many sudanese who look Italian or Spanish with hair down their back and wide beautiful eyes, lighter skin,as I said before. Sudan is the most diverse.

  • @ginaincolor She didnt say all lebanese are racist and she did not say racism comes frm arab ...re watch the video ..she never said that she was bettter than other because she has brown skin you took it in the negative connotation and flipped it to help your argument which is not solid, she wasnt talking about the racism in the Uk,U.S or india she is talking her personal experience and it happened to be with Arabs. get over it and stop making it into something it isnt.

  • @ginaincolor Stop taking someone words out of content. Jazmine never said all Lebanese or arabs are racist. She was just tallking about something she had gone through and how she made it a positive. STOP! JEEZ! What wrong with you people always trying to create a problem. Why you creating hate. It's wrong ya know.

    ~Su

  • u have beautiful eyes masallah!!!

  • sis ur pink lippy is lush

  • I'm mixed and proud ;)

  • This video was in no way trying to make people argue about Arabs being racist or not. Control yo selves! It was about turning the negative into a positive. It's about loving yourself. It wasn't about tearing down a whole race because they are just rude :P. Take Care.

    <3 Su

  • Also, can people stop using the word RACIST! these Arabs are not racist! they are self haters. There is a difference between self hating and racist. These people you speak of hate themselves. They do whatever it takes to be accepted by "europeans" little do they know, Europeans will never see Arabs as one of them. So they take out their anger on others. I find it despicable how the same people who cry out agains toppression from Israel and America, are the same ones who are the oppressors! sick

  • If your a Muslim and your racist doesn't matter if you are African, Asian, Arab, White, . JUST STOP IT YOU'RE NOT COOL !!!!! Your rather disgusting to be frank.

  • Yeah unfortunatley I agree, loads of Arabs are so racist its disgusting.....not all but a WHOLE LOT are. In my opinion I'm glad to live in the US because from what I hear most blacks, asians, and other minorities are treated so terribly there. People here treat each other with RESEPCT. and are nice Its just sad that some so called MUSLIMS have disgusting worser manners than non muslims. People should look up to us for our kind manners not be disgusted. They call themselves muslim PU-LEEZ

  • I was treated badly by racist arabs in Egypt..yes Egypt. Unbelievable how some muslims act as if they are superior just because they are arab.

  • Hey I really enjoy your videos! I've even subscribed to your own channel :)

  • I find it disturbing that people will discriminate, seriously Islam is a religion of tolerance. Bilal the moa2den was dark skinned. Please don't be offended God has created all of us in the most beautiful form.

  • i loved this video mashAllah you are a beautiful person.

  • I'm sorry to hear you were treated badly in Lebanon. I think it's because most African people there tend to be maids and housekeepers... Maybe that's why.

  • Im arab and I'm absolutely horrified by how you were treated. What they should have seen is a young beautiful respectful Muslim girl, but please don't think all Arabs are like that because we're really not <3

  • I'm from London but I love you American OMGhijabi girls!! and this is my favourite video of yours Jazmine! I love Arab countries so much but I TOTALLY know what you mean about the Arab racism, it's disgusting especially coming from Muslims they should know better. How can they call black people slaves, ahhh it gets me so mad.

Thank you for this video Jazmine, you make me proud to be Sudanese. We are an Arabized African country, best of both :-)

  • mashaAllah sis, you have a beautiful skin colour! can not believe you got race comments in arab country rather then USA!! But sis inshaAllah dont let that put you down, we are all slaves of ALLAH.May Allah bless you, salams.:)

''An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person,3 except in piety''

  • I tell my kids that all the time! (the 2 years 1 mouth thing) Hasn't taken yet, haha :D Enjoy your videos.

  • We are very similar Jazmine! I too am very introverted and it is hard for me to open up to ppl, unless I really trust them! Thanks for sharing this with us :) xox And, the racism thing is really sad, but true unfortunately.

  • Light-saber joke! HUH who's shy :P. Love ya anyways sweetie!

  • wow its so amazing to see someone else who is an really introverted! I've always been really introverted and people usually think I'm weird bc of it lol... oh and its really sickening that so much racism can come from muslims when we're supposed to be brothers and sister... it really bothers me that a comment like that would come from a Sheikh.. I used to go to an Islamic school w. mostly Arabs and they were so racists that used to call the black kids Abeeds sometimes :(

  • Defiantly Adam is black... in the Arab word there is a lot of of ignorance still but is getting better

  • I am also an extreme introvert and very shy. Yet, nobody would guess by watching my videos.

  • All humans will return to Africa when the that whole 2012 issue.. so Yeah, we-africans- will always be welcome to Africa, I'm just worried about all the others who don't belong there.. =P

  • yeahh, i knoww arabs in the middle east can be very racist as a somali i can confirm thiss ..

but i <3 your videeoss .. keep it upp :)

  • @onlyme373

I hate the racism in the Middle East. Even Arabs divide themselves between bedoon, regular Arab and gulf Arab.

  • you are a smart girl...

  • I liked how you turned the words into positive. I always look beyond the color of people Growing up in a diverse community and going to a diverse high school I never judged anyone because of their color, race, religion or ethnic background. So when I see you, I see my sister in deen. I see us as the same.

  • i consider parts of africa as arab countries, i mean the ones who mostly speak arabic should be considered arab but it doesn't matter what you call it, we're all one ummah

  • Besides being Arab has nothing to do with ethnicity if it does the only Yemenis and most Saudis would be Arab. Its nothing but a cultural classification so if thats the case then since mostly North Sudanese speak Arabic then they are Arab and also African :)

  • @HistoryGeekable i know ryt. the term arab is not like a race. any one can be an arab. the only place where ppl can be called arabs is saudi, like u said.
