@MusicOfEpirus Paraardhesit tane, mesa kam degjuar ne shtepi nga pleqte, behet ffjale te jene nga pjesa veri-lindore e Shqiperise se sotme, pra ne lindje te malit te zi. Dardane na thone. Gjithsesi, kjo behet fjale perpara shekullit te 14, ku Gjonbocaret ( Bocaret ) u vendosen ne Tragjas te Vlores, ku edhe sote ngrihet paksa e rrenuar keshtjella e Gjonbocarit, qe thuhet se eshte i pari i fisit tone ne periudhen e shekullit te 14.

the sad the is the many people from and of epirus have mixed blood just because they speak a albanian dialect does not mean they are anceint albanians or illiryans, they wer two different people living in albania in those days people from the north and people from the south...the northen albanians wer more illiryan by decent and the southern wer more greek. look at tosk and gheg for and example

Albanians are coming from river Alvano.. They are not Greeks.. Arvanites are not Albanians.. I know that in schools the history is not telling the truth.. If you want to learn the truth you have to study yourself.. From many History books.. We have no problem with Albanians, but we have problem with lies.. Albanians have no history.. like Turks.. Arbanite=Arberor=Albanian=Illyrian, this is the reality, a bit bitter, but ppl must be proud of their origin and identity, greece was vanishing and we Arberors saved it, given it the liberty, and for this we have to be proud.
Maybe you are ashamed to call yourself albanian because of actual socio-economic status of Albanians, but trust me the things will change for good.

Not all but a lot of them... not because they have chosen so, but 200 years of a fake "Greek" government, fearful that its own population will realize they are actually Albanian, has forced and brainwashed the population to the point where the majority (which in most cases is uneducated and rural dwelling) now hate Albanians, and think that Albanians are Greeks like them but mixed with Turks, and therefore traitors.
Smart Arvanites are the exact opposite, but they are numbered and powerless.

You can see the difference in these two types of Greeks here in the US.
If you ask a souvlaki maker, gyro shaver, restaurant owner, construction worker... they will fall under the category of the ones that hate Albanians and don't even want to listen to you when confronted with certain facts of their own history.
If you ask a well educated investment banker, lawyer, director, anyone that is well read and informed, they will actually strive to connect with Albanians without Albs even trying.
