@pagelock the mosin nagant has less recoil than a 12 gauge shotgun, my first bought rifle was scared of how the recoil was but its a good amount less than a 12 gauge
Hello I was wondering about buying this weapon but I am scared of the recoil which i have seen the rubber but pad but here is me shooting weapons in the video responses.P.S. I know what you are going to say (Seriously!) yes I am 12 and I am wanting this gun for a hunting rifle but again scared of the recoil but I have shot a 12 guage and it didn't hurt but anyways here is my video response.
@jnncbuhyc Now do you think I would let a halfway decent camera anywhere near the metal buttstock of this cannon? :) C'mon man - I didn't care if my p.o.s. cellphone got destroyed lol you still get the idea though
@SPQRsamurai117 The video is deceiving. Mosins actually don't kick all that badly so long as proper shouldering and aiming is used. Do it right and you can shoot all day and have a great time doing it as the Mosin is seriously accurate. I have many Mosins and did an accuracy side by side between an 1897 vintage M91 and '42 vintage M1 Garand. The Mosin outshot the Garand! I was shocked. In short, buy a Mosin with confidenc!
@GirlsGamesGunsGuitar Clearly I didn't have this shouldered for this recording - just had her propped on the sandbags and relied on my popeye forearms to keep the rest under control ;) I will agree though - the recoil is very manageable ... try shooting an M107 sometime!!!
@StereoSoundAgent1 Thanks man! I shot this video a few months after I purchased it. It has a pristine, bright bore, no rust anywhere, and the stock is in great condition. I'm thinking that this was not refurbed, just cleaned and packed up in cosmoline. It has slight fading of the stock around the handguard and cheek weld area from oil from some Soldier of the Red Army, as well as a few nicks and scratches consistent with combat use ... a great piece of history!! Cheers!
@nsnutter only place i found rust on my 1943 m91/30 was on the tip of the top part of the feeding mechanism. the part you see when you open up the bolt and have no rounds in the internal magazine. (heheh, slightly internal that is)
this is what actually happens in real life accept you dont get up as fast lololololololol

I gotta say... I love the sight picture on a Mosin. Something about it is so natural to me.

One great thing about the Mosin is that you can use the bayonet as a flathead screwdriver. Mine doesn't fit the rifle, so that's it's job. XD
