My point is..'Understanding' different cultures,ways of life,social class etc, may help us realise the struggle some people go through to 'survive'.

I believe we are 'all equal' on this planet and everyone should be treated as such.

Why should you or I be more deserving than anyone else on the planet?

Some people may be less deserving of respect, but if we understand why they have to live their lives in such a way it may explain a lot. There's a thought

not everyone deserves respect. not everybody does respectful things. respect has to be earned, it's not a birthright, political right, or human right. usually, the people who cry about respect the most, deserve it the least. the top 3 that come to mind are: gang members, illegal immigrants, and starving people who overbreed.
