Why don't you try Amazon.com, very similar to Ebay, but accept, they 're no biddings. Good news is, they're don't accept Paypal payments, that's they're policy. They accept all other payments which included checks and money orders, but they recommanded to use credit card payments, because it's faster. Please try it and tell me later, what do you think? You are so right. I just dealt with a deadbeat bidder. Or a NonPaying Bidder. NPB. Ebay really has to fix their policy. They seem to favor their buyers more than the sellers. Sellers make up half of ebay and without us, ebay can't profit at all.
It doesn't work with people who have nothing up for sale though sadly.

Do a vid on Bait n Switch scammers.Say u sold a truck to a buyerID. They have no sell history nor are they an active seller). The truck isnt an item u'd consider "cost of doing business". The scumbag then opens the bullshit dispute through Ebay & they tell him2 send it back>scumbag sends bag of shit instead of ur truck. How do u keep selling knowing disputes can EASILY result in returned bags of shit? far as I know theres NO PROTECTION for seller in these cases. Any thoughts/advice on this?
