  • Dude said it best...the beat almost has somewhat of a sad vibe yet with a touch of inspiration. I've thought that ever since I first heard the track.

  • 4:00-4:36 He just makes it look easy. Classic track.

  • No homo, but both these niggas got some plump, suckable lips, trill talk.

  • This was THE best album ever. Paid in Full a close second but this album was perfect top to bottom. This album was was literally like a poetic script for an award winning movie. What makes it even better is that it's based on his true story. To ppl saying J fell off, listen carefully to his music. He still is lyrically phenomenal. His subject matter just changed...as it should. He's wealthy now,why rap only about what you strived to get out?Besides,he still has double entendres that go over ppls head

  • man jay used to be way lyrical.. "i tell you half the story the rest you fill it in as long as the villain win i spend japan yen attend major events".. jeeezzeee i want the old jay back

  • I love Jay-Z, love this song too, he a great rapper and all, but dont say shit like "dont touch dis beat" fuck all yall, jay shouldnt have ripped nas' voice out his song.

  • You can't go on Dead Presidents and not do a great job.

It brings the best out of an MC. lol

  • classic

  • Out of all of both Jay-Z's and Nas' respective discographies, Illmatic reigns supreme, with Reasonable Doubt not far behind. Then on about equal footing are Jay's The Blueprint and Nas's It Was Written.

  • Ski and Jay really in sync. Ski's on point with his breakdowns

  • Jay-Z The Greatest

  • @ 0:01 is he talking about Jay Z?

He for sure wasn't the "first person to be bare naked and honest about whats goin on in the streets."

Jay Z is dope as fuck!

    But come on now?

Since the 80's people been rapin about the streets like that.

Grandmaster Flash, Rakim, Tupac... the list goes on....

  • @seanSHRED87 ..if you actually go back and even til this day...jay is the most known one to rap in a "2nd person intervention style of talking through his raps mainly in a (emotional hustla point of view) with a "1st person guilt&pleasure" intervening throughout his whole career....nobody back then, Nobody at least well known ...was rapping in a "hustla complex psychology on many levels" like he was...the d'evils says it all along side dead presidents

  • @17DM Good fucking insight! I said the same thing. Nas the world is yours and dead president are the same level and meaning.

  • If you every feel like you want to give up on something... whatever it is... just listen to Reasonable Doubt, it might just help you out.

  • the drums were sampled from tribe called quest thats a ill track

  • Skibeatz sent me here!

  • jay's got one hell of a flow

  • Sampling isn't too hard. But finding the sample..urgh kills me

  • @TheDiggersUnion yo thanx for posting this... i might wanna buy this dvd. what else is on it? does jay talk about all of the songs on the album?

  • @3WadeD3 Yes. The DVD breaks down the entire album. They interview the guest MC's on the album, as well as the producers for each track.

  • @3WadeD3 yea coldest shit ever go 2 best buy 2 pick it up

  • Where can I buy this DVD? What is it's name?

  • @jseays24 The DVD is titled "Classic Albums: Jay Z - Reasonable Doubt" You can purchase it on Amazon.com

  • @jseays24 go 2 Best buy

  • Where can I buy this DVD?

  • RD is my favorite album ever. Every beat, every song, every line is just sick.

  • @tghetto5 i literally feel 100% the same way. i cringe when kids can name all the lil wayne albums but have never heard of reasonable doubt....

  • its still hard to believe lyrics like that came from Jay....when you look at Jay in this video its like WTF? He made that shit? But as much as i dont like Jay he definitely made one of the most powerful songs ever in rap

  • such a focused, serious rapper man.

  • SKI made the construction of the track look pretty simple, as he explained it, but I know for sure that a LOT of hard work and skill went into making the tracks. It's great to see how these tracks - classic hiphop tunes - are actually constructed.

Much more like this would suit me just fine! Thanks!!

  • thats in preemos studio

  • Jay Z aged 19 !~

  • one of the best rappers of all time ! a true role model, all my respect for him !

  • this production is amazing no one should ever even touch this beat. J.Cole did a decent job but he should'nt of even thought about touchin Dead Presidents u feel me

  • @VONAFIDE he stole of nas the fat horse

  • @ShookOnes92 Its all apart of hip hop, please UNDERSTAND this! peace!

  • @VONAFIDE Just out of respect, word up gotta leave certain things alone, a classic should not and cannot be touched it's just disrespectful no matter if a nigga tryna pay tribute or not there's other ways to make a tribute than to rap over a niggas shit nahm sayin.

  • @VONAFIDE i thought lupe did a pretty good job on dead presidents too

  • @Tr0llinghard yeah he did i like Lupe i think beats like this are in a class of their own

  • @VONAFIDE forsure, theres not alot of beats out there that are on the level of dead presidents, easily one of the greatest in hip hop history. My rise the riches surprise the bitches think harder, you know this nigga Jay-Z, Shawn Carter

  • @VONAFIDE true

  • @VONAFIDE logic murdered it on Young Sinatra, it was insane

  • @VONAFIDE

You are stuck in the old generation and don't even its own history. Hip Hop has been living off of other people work for decades through sampling. So no one should judge J. Cole for attempting to recreate it. Illmatic an even greater album than RDD was done justice by Elzhi with "Elmatic". Stay progressive, buddy.

  • @theDolphino1123 trust me i know everything there is to know about it and yes i know how it started GM Cas and DJ Kool Herc and DJ AJ using old records at parties in the Bronx in the late 70s trust me i know. what i am saying is IN MY OPINION! J.Cole shouldve never touched it.

  • dead presidents is moneyyyy ...REAL SHIT

  • ...oh yeah, Mecca killed the hook on that bitch ; )

  • amidst all the accolades one can shower upon the finesse of jay-z, i say, that his greatest charm is the unique quality he possesses in the ability of manipulating the listener's ear into the illusion that he is in deed actually speaking to you in a very intimate and personal manner! hate it or love it, he has that particular market cornered like a curb! all things considered, jay-z is...

  • best rapper of all time

  • CLASSIC song off a CLASSIC lp

  • i show myself making beats on my channel. Check me out!

  • feelin' it was originally Camp Lo's, but Dead Presidents was always Jay's

  • jay-z why u sold ur soul for commerce, this guy kid used to be great, now he sux

  • Jay be looking at Ski like 'this brother chatting shit again'

  • wasnt this a camp lo song first?? Ski why u lying? cuz Jay there?? hahaha j/p

  • was it?

  • yeah I heard it was from an interview in XXL..

  • Was it ?

    I know Feelin' It was.

  • @JOEYSTAX it was "meant" for camp lo

  • @JOEYSTAX That was Feelin It that was meant for Camp Lo

  • best song ever

  • Song is Crazy, i think it has to be one of the best. 4:20 and on its hot how he makes it. Jay-z flow is sick try to rap his lyrics when the song is playin , its hard to do his flow, lyriclly. c'mon jigga to me is the best rapper of all time

  • when was this
