  • Thank you for posting this, it brings back so many fond memories of when I was a teenager in the 70s

  • "Oh the sweet refrain, that soothes the soul and calms the pain" - thank you for posting.

  • Benoit David sounds real close to Jon Anderson BUT what's missing is the mystique that Jon brings to the mix. He's close, but he's not Jon.

  • i hope they do at least one more tour does anyone know?

  • Incredible how Benoit David's voice is close to Jon Anderson's.

This melody is so spiritual, so elevating...

  • Incredible how Benoit David's voice is close to Jon Anderson's

  • i saw yes in the round on 8/8/77 in Prov.RI they filmed the show but i've never seen any film from that show.it was a great performance!

  • @bwallyworld

You must mean YES In The Round 09/01/78 (Fri) Providence Civic Center - Providence, RI - They did not play in the round in 1977. In the round was 1978 & 1979. On 8/8/77 they played at Veterans Memorial Coliseum - New Haven, CT

  • I was told Jon sang this song, Soon, beneath a beam of light out amongst concertgoers at the Warehouse in New Orleans, they sitting on their hands. Oh, to

    have experienced it!

  • I've seen Yes countless times, since "The Relayer Tour," in December 1974. All that I could think of when I saw this (another version posted on here w/ Benoit - and not watched, saw just the song title) all I could think was "sacrilege." Well, I was wrong. This guy does just fine. Yes has NEVER failed to please me, in concert - except for one time, in the late 70s I think it was. One word: Buggles. Geoff Downes - eh, OK - good, even. Trevor Horn SUCKED.

  • @covenstead It has to be said, without Rabin, Yes wouldn't be touring like they do now. They would be long forgotten if it wasn't for him. And, BTW, stop being a pompous prick! Trevor Rabin is an amazing guitarist and songwriter. so there.

  • @MrGenosamuel1994 -- I said Trevor HORN, Fuckinstein. IDK if you're referring to any other comment I made here, but I can't imagine I said anything NEGATIVE about Trevor RABIN, considering that I think he's one of the best guitarists in the world. I don't need an "education" about Yes. I've been a huge fan, from DAY ONE. and have seen them countless times. Yes - enlisting Rabin was a brilliant move. Yes could have toured again anytime they wanted to, though - with or without him, cockhound.

  • Fantastic: This is music!

  • still a great band, but without Jon Anderson it's not the same. I couldn't see them live again. As far as who could retain their voice after 70, check Johnny Maestro and Tony Bennett for starters. They both amazed me. Johnny Maestro sadly passed this past month. RIP.

  • It's inevitable that Yes would have to use a different singer eventually. What 70 year old man would still be able to project these high notes?

  • This and Across the Universe are on my wish list for my funeral

  • Siguen tocando .......como los vi en 1977 en Barcelona...geniales.

  • You know, David is a excellent vocalist, but I am still really pissed about how they got rid of Jon like they did. Shame on them.

  • they didn't get rid of jon. he can't perform due to a severe attack of asthma. jon is still part of yes.

  • As always this song is simply beautiful. And I'm stunned by Benoit David's voice! Jon is not replaceable, but Benoit truly does this justice. Steve Howe, still magic. :-)

  • grandiosi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! commovente!!!

  • bella cancion eterna

  • SIMPLY WONDERFUL

  • i want this played at my funeral

  • i like that idea... this is a beautiful song...

  • @crockermud Man, me too.

  • c'est toujours aussi féérique qu'il y a 33 ans lorsque j'ai découvert cette musique en Belgique

  • That's so freaking weird to hear Jon Anderson's voice coming out of somebody else. Félicitations Benoit!

  • ok now you have me in tears as this brings back so many great memories of their show at the Civic Arena in 1974

  • O wow who is doing the vocals it sounds just like Jon

  • benoit david

  • OMG I knew about this show but I had to work. Thank you for posting video of this.

  • I love this band but Jon means so much to me as an artist and inspirational figure, that I wasn' inspired to go see them this year. I'll probably get ripped for this, but IMO they aren't Yes anymore. Yeah, I know the show was pretty calloused in dealing with matters. Jon wrote a long and uncharacteristically angry blog at his Myspace last year, but has since pulled it.

Chris owns the name. Perhaps it's time considers what happens to Yes' when he can't play anymore.

  • Opps. That was supposed to read:

"Yeah, I know the show must go on, but Chris was pretty calloused in dealing with matters.."

... deleted a bit by accident.

  • i was going to see YES in Hershey in the summer but it was called off.... is this in another theater? can't be the star pavilion, that is outdoor.... and who is the reincarnation of jon anderson?

  • saw the band last night in tampa, they were on spot. it me back to another time.

  • I Like/Love this, Benoit you shall stand tall, be proud of this performance.

  • awesome! I saw this show; amazing to see at least part of it again. Thanks!

  • Great job Benoit David!

  • You pulled it off!
