  • hindus worship statues of a cock in a cows pussy. they bury alive female babies. burn alive ther wives for dowry money. they copy and steal western culture. pollute the most. sell kids to sex and slavery. they are worthless just vermin

  • Thanks for video.

  • do we having a dying star 2day because when i look out side there red star been like it for a week now. but the rest is white

  • @ 2:48, it was mentioned that an astronomer had noted a Type Ib supernova in 1572.

How long has mankind been able to see and identify supernovas?

  • @DocWyldeCard The categorization is more recent, and I don't believe the 16th and 17th century astronomers knew exactly what it was they were seeing, but based on their observations and comparing them to more modern supernovae, we can figure out what they were most likely looking at.

  • wheres that other guy? i like him better

  • if you look out the window! there is a super nova which was meant to happen in a million years! and its the first one to be able to see in the eye in the 17th centuary

  • forget about space exploration, i mean, even if we create a space that travels by the speed of light it'll take us thousands of years to reach what we can't see....... too bad!!

  • I was looking for a song, and I came to this.....

  • its amazing how god created stars that were already exploding before he created the universe.

  • his shirt is going super nova !

  • @rolficus hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

  • Reminds me of Mass Effect.

  • That star dropped

    watch?v=qsuCFbFjxKg

  • man i hate science hmwrk but this really helped thnx man

  • so if i look at stars in the night sky, i'm looking into the past?

  • @doofisondeeds igess so???

  • @doofisondeeds

    Correct.

You see the moon as it was 1.4 seconds ago. You see the sun as it was 8 minutes ago. And (assuming you live on the southern hemisphere) you see Alpha Centauri as it was 4.2 years ago.

  • this information is all found in the holy quraan if anyone doesnt know

its in chapter 56 verse 75 and god is not swearing by the positions of the stars because the way you are seeing them is not how they are right now. if you want to do a further research on that verse then it would be for the very best of it :D

  • 1st dislike :D!

  • does this also mean most of the visible universe is dead by the time its light has reached us?

and if there was another earth somewhere which originated at the same time as ours, we will never see it because by the time that light gets to us our earth probably wont even exist. (and vice versa for aliens looking for us....unless they got some insane technology)

  • @fpsd0minat0r Yup. It also means that when you look at the sun, you see what it was eight minutes ago

  • Why sound. There is vacuum .. in the space you can't hear any sound.

  • WITH SPACESHIPS THAT ARE SUPER FAST,, I HONESTLY CANT BELIEVE IT TAKES LONG TO GET TO JUST OUR MOON!!

  • Awesom video!

  • Nice video as always. Looks like the presenter is going clubbing after this science video.

  • @2plus2is9 LOL. true that

  • This is impressive

  • When you watch and read a lot about astronomy you just go "meh, it's only 150,000 ly across, I've seen bigger" :)

  • fag

  • yeah like ive been looking these videos and i've read about space stuff and astronomy and sometimes you think when they say in the video that "its only 4.2 light years away" im like wow thats not even far. but then you remember how long it takes to travel to the moon and then you kind of come back on earth if u know what i mean :D.

  • omg satan!!! 0:12

  • yea i seen that too, it's like a skull or face of satan, creepy

  • is that shirt made of space dust?

  • So awesome!

  • Nice vid but my friend change that shirt..its ridiculous.

  • I like it :P HAHA I want one XD

  • WEW!!!!

  • awesome

  • 5 stars

  • Top Banana....Love & Light

  • Cool! It would be cool to see Betelguese go SN

  • kewl. I hope I get to see a supernova before I die. Lets hope beetlejuice has already gone supernova.

  • First Phil Plait, now Robert Hurt--you guys get the best (or at least my favorite) narrators! :-)

That was a really nice explanation of light echos in interstellar dust clouds.

    *****

  • Science and affective action music are a bad combination intellectually

  • good video :D
