  • Fernab von Straßen lässt es sich bei Windstille doch immer noch am besten Eisenbahnvideos drehen. Wie hier in diesem Fall. Tolles video. Daumen hoch. Auch für die Formsignale.

    Beste Grüße von EOA

  • @elementofart

    Ja, war ziemlich ungestört dort.

Danke für Kommentar und Daumen! :)

    Grüße

    Mega

  • Mega I thought that aircraft was flying over my house! If you saw "Top Gun" I live 2 miles from the end of the runway. Are these Formsignals still in operation?

  • @paullubliner

I was pretty annoyed by some helicopters flying around there all the time.

I wasn´t there anymore after making this video, but I´m afraid, that all the Formsignals are gone now. You can see in a distance the already installed light signals waiting.

  • Schön ist's da! Daumen hoch fürs Video.

  • Awesome catches

  • @DouglasP201

    Thanks a lot! :)

  • Mega, you do not know if there is still signs of traffic lights, but the trains still pass through Kottenforst??

    Very nice video.

    greetings.

    joel

  • @npradocp

The trains are still passing through the Kottenforst.

This is the Voreifelbahn. A very successful commuter line between Bonn and Euskirchen.

But like you can see in the video: new light signals were already installed and were waiting to replace the old semaphore signals.

It is very likely, that the semaphore signals have already disappeared.

I wasn´t there anymore after I made this video.

Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

    Greetings

    Mega

  • @megatwingo

Mega, I am very grateful for your explanation, Germany maintains its railway maintenance, upgrading, it is very important for total security.

    Best regards.

  • @npradocp

    Mainly the DBAG saves money.

Inside the old station Kottenforst is (or was) still one guy sitting in an old signal house who was throwing old levers. Via cables this movement was transported to the main signals and to the pre-signals with the orange disc.

The two crossings were controlled by this old signal house, too.

Now all those guys with their signal houses, mechanical signals, levers and cables are away. Everything is controlled by electronics from a far away central point.

  • @megatwingo

Understood Mega dear friend, the technology today is critical, and may have more security, the problem is the cause of unemployment, as you said, they are no longer in control.

Always thank you for your attention and kindness.

Hugs and have a nice day.

    Joel from Brazil.

  • I saw this one in Belarus!

  • @ralfis1234

    What do you mean?

  • @megatwingo That first passenger train

  • @ralfis1234

    Ah yes. It´s a BR644 Bombardier Talent.
