The end point is losing enough money where you say I've had enough. It has nothing to do with chemistry. If you lose long enough, it hurts and will affect every area of your life and sometimes you have no choice but to stop. Some people never stop though and end up with very broken lives. For the ones who do, the lure is always there. Gambling is a very powerful addiction. As powerful as drugs, alcohol, sex, or anything else.
