The talent doesn't mean shit when the product is garbage. Triple H was terrible and dragged the entire product down for two and a half years. They were screwed when Lesnar left. HHH, Goldberg, Nash, Big Show and Steiner were all pathetic in the ring. Benoit/Eddie were held down for too long. Kane's character was ruined. Angle was awesome. RVD/Booker/Jericho were awesome but held down. The Rock was only there for like 3 months.

Without him the ratings quickly drop below the 3.0 (Two examples, when Jericho was champ in 2008 and Orton in 2010, both times Cena was gone from TV and the ratings plummeted).
