  • Can you tell me what Color or what kind of blue that is .

  • 1978 Custom Dodge Van Caravan Minivan 1978 Custom Dodge Caravans Minivans Jeff 508-558-8272

  • my friend has one to put his dirt bikes in, its way better than a truck

  • mercedes-dodge sprinter maybe

  • Don't Americans use the word "minibus"?

  • Have read about the lack of reliability with the Sprinter Vans and wonder if anyone has experienced problems...or , the opposite w/ these vans?

  • was better sprinter dodge ram van I do not like the looks like a box

  • That's not a Dodge arsseholes, It's a bloody Mercedes!!!!!!!!

  • Fiat Ducato's will probably be showing up in the US sporting the Dodge badge in the next year and then Sprinters will only be avaliable through Freightliner dealers.

  • I hate the look of European vans, except the Eurovan.

  • It's an Mercedes Sprinter. The Car was build by Mercedes while the corporation time with Chrysler.

  • I would not sell my 06 for much less than I paid for it. 26 MPG on 5 cyl turbo deisel no longer avail in US! Great van!

  • Dodge is German the last 8 years

    now its American

    and now its bankrupt

and later iItalians will own it

    Viva Italia

  • Dodge has always been American. They just had a Mercedes and Daimler partnership over the years.

  • I love my Sprinter. It handles great and it is not top heavy as it looks. ABS, ESP, EBD, & ASR are standard. The only thing Dodge is the emblems. Great mileage too: 20 mpg average combined.

  • what is that km per litre?

  • Comment removed

  • ha ha it even has a Mercedes looking steering wheel

  • because it is a Mercedes. Dodge is just selling them in north america for mercedes. Thats why they put the dodge sign on.

  • same with Freightliner.

    (yeah Freightshaker makes the sprinter)

  • dodge should have kept there old ram vans instead of these ugly shitty looking things.

  • @Moparman58

YES. Thank you someone who agrees that the Ram vans should not have been replaced by this V-6 piece of shit with 150 HP in a fucking COMMERCIAL-DUTY Van.

  • @SecularTechnology yea the ram vans were reliable and far better looking. these pieces of shit things rust out. well actually the engine is a 3.0 v6 mercedes diesel but still it sucks. it has almost 300 ft lbs of torque though. im glad dodge stopped making these shit boxes

  • @Moparman58

Actually It only has 250 Lb-ft in a 1-ton vehicle. Ram van = 420 Lb- ft, and almost 200 or hp.

  • @SecularTechnology the ram van with the 318 had like 300 lb-ft i thought

  • @Moparman58

Actually it's 335 Lb-ft. I was basing full-sized vans off the E-350 which has 430 Lb-ft, Van. But 335 (from a V-8) Lb-ft is still a lot more than 250 Lb-ft in the Sprinter (V-6). I am glad Dodge resurected the Ram van in 2011. They probably got too many complaints that the sprinter lacked any power on the freeway.

  • @SecularTechnology the e350 with 430 ft-lb is the v10. i didnt know dodge is bringing the ram van back, i thought they were using fiats van for 2012 that look similar to the shitty sprinter

  • @Moparman58

I said V-8 for the Ram van, not the E350 Search "2011 Ram Van"

  • @SecularTechnology oh i see, do you know what engines they are going to be using?

  • @Moparman58

Yeah, a 5.9L V8, and a 5.2 V-8. You can tell Dodge is still not going to add a 6.8 Liter V-10, or a diesel like Ford's Econoline, but it's still a step in the right direction from the powerless V-6 Sprinter.

  • @SecularTechnology they havent used them engines in 8 years.

  • @Moparman58

I didn't know that, thanks. Which one?

  • @SecularTechnology yea the 5.9 they quit making in 2002, the 5.2 they quit in 2001 and they never had a 6.8 v-10, they have a 8.4 v-10 which is used in the viper

  • @Moparman58

The 6.8 V-10 is in the E-350. I specifically said "like in the E-350"

As for the Ram van engines: type in bing: *2011 ram van*, then click the link from *tonanzo.pair*. You will se exactly what I just named.

  • Actually I said *like in Ford's Econoline* but same situation.

  • @SecularTechnology yea i see what i saw, that is just a bunch of crap, its fake and that is the ram van from 2003 and all the engines they used then. if you go to allpar.com they show you all there new stuff comming out.

  • Comment removed

  • @Moparman58

It as a bunch of crap, you were right.

  • @Moparman58

You`re joking, right? The RAM van is nothing compared to a sprinter in terms of commercial use. It`s small, unsafe and a gas guzzler. Compared to the Sprinter the RAM van is terribly outdated.

  • Mercedes Sprinter ftw!!!

  • how do you rent a six passenger van

  • hyundai is the best

  • than change your screen name

  • dumb comment !

  • why doesnt america make good rigs like this?

  • Dodge IS American...

  • this one has the Morman familys in mind ...

  • How dare Daimler try to pass this euro trash "van" off as the replacement for an American legacy in vanning.

  • God..SHUT UP Faggot.

  • All of them were ugly and slow and worst of all (for the people who buy them) you can't go to McDonald's in it.

  • @tg72211

    Thank you I agree 100%

  • @SecularTechnology subscribe and watch all of my videos if you agree, haha, im serious

  • @SecularTechnology

American vans look cool but that`s it. They`re so small compared to a fullsize sprinter. You can hardly fit anything in an Econoline, RAM or Express compared to a Sprinter.

  • Throw the grille away and put the Mercedes grille on it.

  • @ffairlane57

don't trow them away, just give them to me.

  • I've always driven a se

So how easy is it to get used to driving a van like this? How much handling are you sacrificing?

I don't care about speed -- just handling, like in city traffic, etc.

  • In my opinion they are mainly for long distance highway travel rather quick turns.

  • try the Volkswagen Caravelle 2.5 tDI(130 hp), you'll forget about your car

  • I would give this car a ten engine wise but a three body wise. Way to top heavy and narrow to boot. There should be a general ratio that relates width to heigth in all vehicles epecially vans with small wheels.

  • they are no top heavy... ther is nothing at the top next to the roof.. everything heavy is at the floor

  • @dieseldawg2

    A Ten Engine wise???

The car has a 150 HP V-6 with 250 Lb-Ft. In a 3500 class. I give it a "throw that engine off a cliff" engine wise.

  • @SecularTechnology

Here in Europe we can get the Sprinters with a 184 hp diesel engine and 295 lb/ft torque. It gets over 25 mpg with lots of city driving. Adaptive stability control, available 4wd and many different wheelbases make it much more attractive than the old fashioned US vans.

  • @Airox2009

Yeah, here we have Diesel vans (Chevy Express, Ford Econoline) With some 350 Hp (Gas) and up to 550 Lb.-Ft. (Diesel) They get MPG starting at 10 mpg city (lol).

Yet the Sprinter is probably just as fast (maybe even faster) because it has better gearing. Despite the extra stats on paper, our vans are pretty slow, and they don't come with high roof options.

  • . Video appears to show in dash GPS which is not available in USA. . Also there should be more videos available since it comes in about 20 colors but the colors on the dodge website are not accuate. . Mercedes factory is running at full capacity so lead times are long on orders. . Possibility will be available in 4wd soon. . Very cool. .
  • I was wondering how Dodge would cope with such a European-looking van. I've seen a few new Mercedes Sprinters around Auckland and figured there was no way Dodge could hide the Mercedes styling. They've done a good job on the nose, though, it looks way better than the Merc version. I'll have to start importing Dodge Sprinter grilles to New Zealand I think! Anyone wanna swap?

  • I have been in one of these vans and the only downside to them vs American vans, is power. the base engine of this van is a 150hp 240lb torque diesel inline 5. the other engine is a chrysler 3.5l v6 (250hp and torque). this van is way under powered for its sheer size. hopefully since mercedes sold off 80% of Chrysler, dodge will send this big pos back to Europe and bring back a new version of the v8 powered dodge ram van.

  • there is no need for V8... they are build for eco transport not driver entertainment.. even the weakest engine in the Sprinter is strong enough to move it to 100mph topspeed.. who cares about 0-60mph acceleration on a 200mile highway trip... but your boss cares a lot if you get 10mpg or 20mpg

  • yea, your right about the gas millage and its ability but, where I live you constantly have to pass slow idiotic drivers on the expressway and I need enough power to quickly pass them. The sprinter also handles MUCH MUCH BETTER than any van I've ever driven. Another highpoint is the interior, which has controls placed where the driver can easily reach them. Besides the weak engine I rely don't have much of a problem with this van.

  • its a fudge packing van.

  • I think Mercedes Sprinter is the best

  • oh awesome, a new popemobile!!!

  • Gay look. it's for faggot

  • Nice van - cant wait until I get mine - I also found a good website for Dodge owners to get conversion kits for Sprinter Vans so they look like Mercedes vans - Check out MercedesSprinterConversions com - They seem to have the cheapest prices I can find anywhere aswell - I got mine last week - It looks ace!

  • I'm VERY glad that Dodge decided not to redo the interior for "American" tastes. The Mercedes-Benz switchgear is right out of the A and C class.

  • The ford Tranits is a beter Van and much nicer looking, I wish thet sold the Tranit in the USA

  • transits are a piece of shit, and may not even stand in the shadow of the sprinter.

  • Thanks Mr. knowledgeable, your opinion is like gold

I go out and get me a Sprinter tomorrow

  • don't forget to put it on you tube then.

  • I think Chevy should import Opel vans, and Ford should bring over the Transit.

  • Agreed. They are much more competitive than the current offerings by the America two. The Econoline and Chevy van are junk.

  • I still think that the Sprinters would have a ridiculously high rollover rate.

  • I'll just say that someone would really have to jerk the wheel on this van to make it roll (NO BULLSHIT)!

It does look like that it would easily roll because of it's height but the damn thing is so well planted to the ground, I'll soon put up a few video's as soon as I take it through a paticular corner, which will include in van and from outside having my buddy drive it.

  • That's cool. I guess they desgined it very well. Now that I'm taking a closer look, it does seem to have a solid stance. Thanks for the info.

  • The Sprinter actually feels more firmly planted to the ground than the older Dodge Ram Vans (then again, my suspension is a little... worn)

  • a sprinter is a european car, and therefore it has

european suspension witch is hard for better

stability. American cars have soft suspension for more comfort, and that's the difference you notice.

  • They come with stability control standard in Europe. Without the stability control they are very easy to roll.

  • Wooooaaaaa crazzzzy shot ! It's sooooo fast !!!
