• "i already fucked it up didn't i "

  • Amazing song and great band, but this shows why I hate concerts; people scream any chance they get, and I don't pay to hear the guy next to me singing, At least this doesn't have bass drowning out all the vocals.

  • His voice is so perfect it sounds the exact same live as it does on CD. <3

  • ...the least they ever gave you is the most you ever knew

  • "your mother loves your father...'cause she's got no where to go..."

    That hits home...

  • waowww thx Johnny for being so natural and humble!

  • O.O ......... *buys goo goo dolls tickes

  • Great song by the legend!

  • Did i hear the facebook IM alert at 1:02 ???

  • At least noone can say he is lip syncing xD

  • Great lyrics

    from ghost guitar

  • haha, the lead singer looks like Mitch Hedburg

  • ahhh...

  • i LOVE when he goes "whoops!!!"

  • Great vid! Johnny is so funny, and a brilliant song writer and performer. I love the Goos! Thanks for sharing....your video quality is really good.

  • love this band!!!! they rock, totally agree, down to earth, hot, funny, BRILLIANT ARTISTS who do it for the fans and not the fame!!! BEST BAND EVER - FUCK THE BEATLES, they may have changed the world - BUT THE GOO's ROCKED MINE!!!! HAZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come to Australia!!!!

the solos nice touch too, ver poison/ bon jovi

  • amazing song :]

  • "I'm going to try doing this without fucking it up" lol

  • my fave thing about this band is how down to earth they are... I feel like even though they have had so much success they never really became "those guys" who grew up, got famous, and then lost touch... they really seem down to earth... and the lyrics are always so intense... hands down, best band in a LONG time.

  • <3 I LOVE this song ^^

  • holy christ above ...that guitar is slung really low...

  • lol i was thinking that too. without the christ part.

  • super! I like the new solo!

  • What does he say when he he almost runs into the microphone? I hate the elec. solo.

  • ...he says "woops."

  • Oh, I knew that. Silly me.

  • i have all their collection of albums they rock john's soo funny

  • lol! "i'll do this without trying to fuck it up...i already fucked it up :P"...funny :D this song is so awesome

  • I LOVE the Goo Goo Dolls. I have some of their cds. My favorite song is Iris. The one on the City of Angels soundtrack.

  • man he s so down to earth, respect!

  • he sure has trouble with this song... xD

but he's still amazing all the same ♥

  • so much respect for that guy

  • john fucks a whole bunch of things up but thats wat makes him john! somtimes u have to mess up before u can get it right.

even when he gets it wrong we still love him the same!love the goos!

  • love this song. Amazing lyrics.

  • i love goo goo dolls this has to be 1 of my fav songs! tho some of there others are amazing aswell and tis recoridnig is amazing ]

    thankies

  • This song is like his kyrptonite. He just can't play it right live! It must be one of those things where you mess up, then get nervous about messing up so you mess up again, lol. That's okay. We love you for all your flaws, John. :)

This really is a beautiful song. I just bought it on iTunes a couple days ago. Why didn't he ever give it a "real" title?

  • @ToriL90 John specifically did NOT want this song released as a single. He wanted it appreciated for what it is. That's why it is so short, and probably why it doesn't have a "real" title. I adore this song.

  • You know, I love the Goos to death, but I can't stand Brad. What the hell has he done to Acoustic #3? By very definition, the song is acoustic. I could stomache a solo by him in this song, he just has to do it on an acoustic guitar. Or a mandolin--He can play mandolin!

By why an electric guitar? He broke Acoustic #3!! *really mad face*

  • i can play this just like him, just a little slower, very easy song tho but sounds great

  • This is a great quality video from a concert. ^_^ Clear, not too shaky, nice and close, and the sound is amazing. ^_^ Rock on!!

And of course this is one of the best, if not THE best Goo Goo Dolls song ever.

  • hey, has anyone seen their 2004 Buffalo concert?? Omg, what a wild ride: it started raining, and their electric guitars wouldn't work, so they had to go accoustic. The band & audience are soaking wet--then, John tears off his shirt, throwing it into the audience!! & despite all of this, they sounded better thruout the whole show than they did on their album!! INCREDIBLE!!

  • this is the greatest Goo Goo Dolls song of all time.quite possibly THE greatest song of all time.

  • I love it, yes, but you can't beat "Iris" or "Black Balloon." Another two amazing Goo Goo Dolls ballads. ♥♥♥

  • great shooting! best video quality of this song on youtube!

  • Love it. I can relate on soooo many levels ;)

  • i love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i saw them live at hammersmith!soooo goood!

  • I like the self deprecation, and when he messes up and just says 'oops'. We all do that even the best; great song-writer though, many songs seem to reach out to a bit in all of us. I read a bit of his story, and he appears to have had a tough life, but he survived- good on yer, John.

  • I Was at this show 4th row very incredible night!

  • i love this song

  • that slide solo sounded like shit

  • I'm about to pass out, John, because you have yet to purpose to me.

  • this is john....will you marry me?

  • I LOVE this song, it's so moving and beautiful. He's so talented.

  • it is from the 90's, its from dizzy up the girl in 1998!

  • i love this song it its not from the 90's but I love how they keep that 90's sound

  • OMG!! i love this song ^_^ Johnny rocks ^_^

  • this is my favorite song of all time. i can't help but just feel so happy and peaceful listening to it. congrats on writing the best song ever!

  • It is a beautiful song and one of my faves. Wouldn't say it was the best ever tho...and i don't think it's that happy. I'm glad theres someone else out there who thinks it's excellent tho :)
