  • In the mid to late 1980s, I lived very close to the Greenwood Intersection shown at the beginning of the film. At that time, Altoona was in better shape than it was when this film was produced. The Altoona of the early 1960s looks like more like a city from a third world country!

  • Wow. Altoona sucked fifty years ago too.

  • I agree with deckerRacing43

  • Altoona isn't any New York City but it's not as bad as the video makes it out to be

  • Im not happy to call this place home!

  • It's not just Altoona, but the trend happening all over the U.S.. Architects and Engineers could design and beautify the city and code enforcement could help clean it up. But in reality, where is the money going to come from? Without jobs and exports that exceed our imports, the whole country is just crumbling in disrepair. I love Altoona, but unfortunately there is just not enough economic activity to keep the city going in a positive direction.

  • not much changed in 50 years didi it

  • Yep still looks that way to this day........maybe even a little worse!!

  • Wow, in 8 hours it will be 2012, and it still looks like hell!

  • Altoona still looks the same.

  • And thats before the Salvation Army moved all the drug addicts into Altoona to help choke it off

  • Haha how embarassing

  • Wow This could have been from yesterday! Way to go Altoona! The city planners are obviously thinking outside of the box..
