  • Shut up and take my money!

  • "you imagine you`re cooking and robots will cook it for real" ok i will freeze myself now and bring me back in 1000 years when they finally made this

  • MouzKhan a mi tambien

  • 9GAG brought me here!

  • @MouzKhan LOL me too

  • @MouzKhan same here

  • the only possible product to be able to be created in this day and age, would be the second fridge, which goes outside the house. Genious.

  • ...this disturbs me.

  • if food comes in capsule form why would you need a dishwasher?

  • Am I the only one kinda fearing things like this?

  • THat Australian virtual kitchen one is totally MAD! OMG is that even possible?

  • i didnt born too early, im proud of the 90's. hurry come future so we can hv fun too!

  • 9GAG =)

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY :D ...

  • i see fat lazy people in the future

  • Dammit! Where's my flying car?

  • i swear if we don't concentrate on this technology we will kill ourselves with primitive and non-eco friendly methods of living.

  • why r these things not in my house?

  • wow, i can't wait till it will be mass produced

  • i don't want no pill form breakfast

  • Comment removed

  • these r like the best invatatons ever

  • what the fuck??

  • rofl people would be climbing up walls to steal my nice food.

  • So many jobs lost to these innovations.

  • @sm0kingJay Stopping progress just to keep job positions would slow mankind. That's not a good reasoning. People should adapt to these innovations. I bet these also break, so learn to fix them too. Nothing is unbreakable.

  • 3:25

    THAT'S DEFINITELY WHITE

  • I want everything , create them . This thing MUST come out in 2050!! If only i was born like yesterday~

  • If that fridge doesn't exist by 2050, I'm complaining to someone.

  • i hope this things out first 2050!

  • Why are we waiting to build these amazing and revolutionary appliances again? We have the materials and the ideas today. Why are we waiting?

  • why is it every single youtube video i go to to hear about this. theres like 20 comments about sticking your dick in it..it just proves were not ready for this yet..haha

  • Capsule food, Weird Gel, all sorts of waves?!

I DON'T WANT TO LIVE ON THIS PLANET ANYMORE.

  • @Trokolol its so epic... this is what makes me live

  • sincerely, i would rather live in a normal, nowadays house, than a house full of these things, that make your house look empty

  • I can't imagine how much radiation all that would cause. :D

  • The fridge, closet and lighting module thing is neat. others are kinda useless.

  • is that green lantern technology :P

  • Head in the clouds and not as much as a toe on the ground. This is NOT Industrial Design. Design for manufacture is Industrial/Product Design. They should of approved winners of people that actually know materials and manufacturing processes.

  • bet they can be done sooner in 2020s or 2030s

  • Unlike most people I hate to be negative, but... almost all of these things aren't based on general engineering principles, have little or no value in a present day modern home, and require people to adjust to them not vice versa.

And this is the best Electrolux managed to select - sell their stocks right now.

  • I WANT THEM ALL.

  • @kelleespaded me too ^.^

  • It's amazing what people come up with when they don't need to worry about such things as physics, practicality, or whether or not something could actually ever work.

The only design here that has any potential is the washing machine basket you can hang on the wall, and even then, it is SO prone to mechanical failure (any material that would be sturdy enough for it would be too heavy for it) that it will never see the light of day.

  • external fridge is the only good idea tbh. because its actually...um idk possible?

  • The virtual reality helmet. WTF. So what are you gonna eat? Imaginary food?!

  • when food is in capsule form fuck that i prefer food how it is

  • robots cooking your food while you imagine it? that dumb and lazy.

  • now create them and make them work properly...`?

  • this is fucking amazing its unreal how far we have come with tequnolage

  • omg... aperture science laboratories is no fantasy!

  • @09yulstube no sci fi no science fantasy this is based on true facts

  • If you can put gel inside of that holder thingy, and it isn't sticky or anything, then how does the gel stay from falling out? ._.

  • IS THIS STUFF FUCKING REAL?!

  • food in capsule form? I don't want to live if that's the only option.

  • i love every idea, except for the virtual reality helmet.

  • electrolux be trollin

  • This is all cool but is it doesnt seem like this stuff is possible for our time

  • I was born too early.

  • @kopilatis10 totaly -_-

  • snail is the winner for me. wonder if it could act as a portable microwave.

  • Thats cool.. now create them

  • @firebender111 as of now we well do things manually and automatically soon it be just nothing but automatic than manually

  • @firebender111 They did

  • Virtual reality cooking? Why don't they just order dinner on the phone?

Most of this tech is decades off. Even if the tech will become available these conceps will be long forgotten

  • when this will be available to buy?

  • the first one and the external refrigerator is cool

  • hmm interesting.. can we use that gelly-jelly thing in sweet production :P

  • the first one is so cool!

  • I want to play Mass Effect 3 now.

  • Its cool.

  • Doesn't that gel get dirty in time?

  • Why cook your food,

when you can spend the same amount of time,

doing it with robotic arms controlled with your mind?

    Stupid.

  • waaa lol were dead by 2050 lol if only we survive on 2012

  • appuyez moi si ,comme moi , vous etes en tbnk contre cette entreprise là!!! d'un gars de l'assomption outré!!!

  • The Elements Modular Kitchen is the only practical one... And looks coolest ;)

  • Another finalist that is NOT mention is of mine creation, a car that can transform into a Cube that is 90% smaller, so you can stored it and save a lot of space...

  • Yeuck I'm glad I'll be dead by then.

  • @CalifornianAdventure ya this was my least favorite and least practical and far fetched out of all of them in my opinion as well

  • @JJANDTHEMONEY3

Because you can design anything, having the technology to actually back it up is a totally different story.

  • This is really cool.. 1st ones' the best...

  • And last but not least.....

    The "Woman"

A Device that combines All of the above into one.

  • mhhh why not 2049?

  • Sorry, I missed the brand. Was It Panasonic??

  • 1 : Great best one

    2 : Good, I would use it

Rest are shit and i wouldnt buy if i was a billionaire

and with those imaginary cooking glasses would that only cost like

    $1 billion a meal?

  • i'm pretty sure all these technology would be rather expensive. energy saving is good, but I want to see something affordable for our third world counterparts

  • I like the external fridge, but some can just walk by and steal it.

  • It'd be cool if they provided any glimpse of scientific reasoning behind one of these things. Because I have a sweet idea, a robotic genie that grants your every wish as well as solves the space issues thus making these inventions useless.

  • the future looks bleak if this is what i have to use. all of this is very controlling.

and whats with the augmented reality cooking. that is the stupidest idea i have ever heard.

  • This is brilliant!

future and def more effective... less energy is also used

  • none of this will happen...

realistically if any of these made there way to the market

only a few people will use it... mainly geeks

  • All of this, it aint gonna happen

  • These ideas would just make people more stupid... Why would we wan't that?!

  • Imagine having sex with the green refrigerator :D

  • @boner2008 LOL

  • @boner2008 Too bad i'll store your cum and when guests come and stick their hands in, they suddenly have sticky "glue" all over their hands...

  • @boner2008 Really? Thats what you are thinking of? :D

  • @boner2008 you can freeze your cum immediatly LOL

  • @boner2008 You sir, have one of the greatest minds of our generation.

  • The only ideas I think are practical at all are the external refrigerator, the Snail thingo, the shelving (very neat) and maybe the steam clothes cleaner

  • i swear 99.99% of inventions nowdays never go anywhere because they're fucking impossible or impractical

  • is this even based on any current technological/scientific evidence? cause as far as i'm concerned we might as well have flying cars and could all be living on the moon.

i could make up all this shit too, cause hey, as long as we're dreaming..

  • Not revolutionary, but it does make you think how our society will be in 50 or 100 years. The idea of all food coming in packaged 'pill' form was particularly thought provoking

  • in the future everybody going to be fat and lazy because robots are going to do everything for them!

  • There was really no "wow-factor" in any of these items, I'm not sure I'd even want any of them.

  • wireless cooling/cooking?? lolololololol

  • Sticking my hand into green goop before i eat doesn't make me want to eat anymore

  • This is fucking dumb.

I hate this big growth of "ideas for future engineering" lately, and how they have these sleek presentations, and dumb ideas, with NO ENGINEERING BASIS BEHIND THEM.

It's like somebody let all the designers do the work and didn't consult a SINGLE engineer.

  • the green grass ontop of buildings is like the book stranger in a strange land, i cannot grok this.

  • I've seen the bio robot refrigerator at the cité du design, in France, sure it wasn't working, but it was quite interesting ...

  • £10,000 says none of this technology is available on the shelf in 2050.

  • You know someone would stick their penis in that goo fridge.

  • That all sounds incredibly impractical. Why would I want to virtually prepare a meal and have a machine make it for me? That's ridiculous.

It also doesn't even hint at how any of this will be achieve. The guy just says "using [keywork] technology"

  • The fridge is too small to be viable. If you were American, would you really fit all your food in one of these?

  • The future is putting my apples in green goo? Fuck that shit.

  • The only one I can see working is the solar-fridge. The rest more or less sounds 'cool', but I have yet to hear of any way of ACTUALLY making it happen. (That goes for all of the concepts.)

  • Sigh. Of course they're all men.

  • As he said many times CONCEPT!

I can only say two words:

    SCIENCE FICTION

  • Food will be supplied in capsule form?

    The future fucking sucks!

  • How the hell does a cooler temperature put work into a refrigeration cycle? Maybe they meant that it just removes heat from the heat.

  • In the future, we won't have to do fucking ANYTHING

  • they promised us flying cars in year 2000...

  • shut up and take my money!

  • but will it electrolux...

  • Comment removed

  • @Sersh162 having fun copying other youtube comments?

  • Why do you need a dish cleaner if food is distributed in capsule form?

  • i hope i never live in a future where food is supplied in capsule form

  • Future...Fuck Yeah!

  • Ill be 60 years. I should have been born couple of generations later.

  • Can`t you make this happen sooner?

  • Why would we need a dishwasher if food came in capsule form?

  • cool but TOTAL vapor ware

  • If food is in capsule form, why would you need plates?

  • everything seemed sort've plausible except that virtual reality headset... right....

  • I want an apartment like in 5th element

  • @jgq85 They forgot about the ZF-1 gun. Now that's compactness !

  • When is that refrigerator coming? I WANT ONE!

  • Hope these things get to the market soon....

  • How the hell did the virtual reality helmet thing make it as a finalist?

  • @banga999 agreed, i actually enjoy cooking and i wouldnt want the taken away from me

  • @banga999 true! its such a far cry... i'd rather have a dinner cooked by human

  • K, gotta admit, the virtual reality helmet looked really dumb and the Eco Cleaner looked somewhat dumb ("a future where food is supplied in capsule form"... really? I never signed up for the all-capsule diet and I don't plan to) BUT the rest of the ideas looked quite awesome, do want. Please make the rest of them!

  • The outdoor fridge is actually a brilliant idea. I love it.

  • TAKE MY MONEY!

  • My first thought with the gel fridge. Stick my penis in gel.

  • i don't want my food delivered by robots. my food is to be delivered by bears.

  • I love the future!!!

  • The virtual reality cooking robot thing sounds so completely ridiculous.

  • Wait, is this aprils fools joke from last year?

  • I dont know why companies make this, show pieces of pretty plastic saying that would do wondrous things... How? With maaaaaagic! Stop insulting our intelligence, please

  • DO WANT

  • so are all these things possible with current technology? or is most of it all just made up?

  • why dont we use these things

  • @AXGOD707 Well because they are just cute images and made up descriptions, they don't actually exist more than the spaceships I used to draw as a child.

  • @tiagotrinidad Lets design spaceships that they cant put their fake crap into :)

  • I think that helmet is a good idea, But if it were brought over to the US, There'd be lots of food being made.... Almost everyone smokes weed, Imagine? lol

  • as some have said i find the helmet idea unnecessary, i dont like it, of these is the least i like. The ones i like more are the refrigerator, very good idea, saves space and reduces the unecessary parts of the machinne like door. the gel seems to fit well the purpose. Elements modular kitchen, clean closet, dismount washer and the winner are very good too :)

  • I'm going to be 65 in 2050. This junk had better be around, or I'll complain like the old man I'll be!

  • lol if you wear the helmet all day and just you think about food when ur hungry you will find a shitton of food stacked up in your kitchen.

  • 2050? more like 2150

  • @pizzaday420 2050 is when the majority of the population in the world is living in cities, not when these technologies come out. This is merely a demonstration for items that would save space in the cramped future.

  • Things like this make me glad to be young, I can't wait to see what the future REALLY holds.. Things we cannot imagine.

  • @Lunarvx22 We can imagine many things. That's where all inventions begin. If we can't imagine it, it's not possible, or our species has finally reached the point where our collective IQ barely goes over fifty.

  • Alright, the two before the last one are just dumb as hell

  • Oh man, Mass Effect 3 is looking aweso... Oh wait this is all suppose to be real? Yeah, and Star Trek devices are coming out next year.

  • A lot of these are fucking awesome.

Too bad many of them are impractical. The outside refrigerator is my favorite, as is The Snail

  • the virtual reality headset kitchen with the robots is so damn impractical that i laughed out loud watching this. only a couple of these make sense, but that one in particular is just terrible.

  • the english call drying machines ''drying cabinets''??

well shine my shoes and call me a bloke

  • Personally, the bio gel fridge, the closet that scans for impurities and the smart-shelving units are definitely something that I want to see in our future. The rest seem to be unnecessary, however that virtual reality helmet would make a hell of a good gaming experience!

  • i want them all <3

  • хочу всё себе домой ^^

  • I NEED THESE.
