  • I'm a new Muslim and from the day I said the Shahada I went from wearing miniskirts and tight tank tops and a fishnet hoodie to covering my entire body excluding my hands and sometimes my face (sometimes I wear a Niqab, sometimes I only wear an hijab, but I never go out with my head uncovered. The only thing that I find a little sad is that before I converted all my friends were men and I'm finding it really hard to make friends with Muslim sisters, maybe because they're shy and I'm shy ....

  • i want to say no one should judge without fully understanding a faith! my daughter who is only 9 was told the other day by a friend that his godbrother hates muslims and wants to kill them all!! this came from a 8 year old imagine

  • LMAO she said muslims dont like to bully ppl

  • i like the way you start your video with the little girl speech about islam. This video is awesome.

  • Well said Ladies

    Stay Strong

    May ALLAH Reward Us inshALLAH

    JazakALLAHU Khairan for the video

  • I am not muslim but I am learning. I am already trying to adopt more modest dress. I am tired of men honking and whistling or yelling at me like they would a piece of sexual meat.....and I'm overweight!

  • YOUR BODY IS YOUR BODY. NOT THEIRS.

  • I have since converted to Islam and I do not regret it at all. I just have to find a way to let my family know about my choice to submit to Allah completely. Alhamdulilah! :-)

  • So trueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I luv u, know... :)

    May Allah guide u...

  • As salaamu Alaikum sisters and brothers we wear what we do out of respect to the Quaran and Allah......to all the haters.......stop hating we r people not opressed individuals we dont hate on other religions so respect our...ameen

  • really the beauty of the muslim woman is that inshaAllah she covers out of her love for Allah! n that is what makes her the most beautiful, precious jewel on earth and inshaAllah what get her into the jannah. keep striving for the sake of your Lord dear sisters and stay, strong in eemaan, ibadah and taqwah ameen. for the best examples for you were the mothers of the beleivers (radiAllahu anhunna) do we need more?

  • as salaamu alaikum, this is a very lovely video mashaAllah, u know many of the negative comments that people say about the hijab, alot of times it is really not what is going on in their head. in my life experience it seems the more beautiful, the more pious, the more self-respective you are human-beings seem to have the strong desire to tear you down. i grew up in a predominate catholic society. there were nuns in habit everywhere. but they received respect. but a muslim woman, she's oppressed!

  • re-watch it i think you misunderstood, he didnt. women wear it for god only if she does not wear for allah she might as well not wear it,

  • one day inchallah i hope to be as strong as these proud women here!!

  • nabilchitown1.......if u can say we are brain washed. You could say many woman are brain washed to look a certain way and be a size zero and be a slave to men to look good all the time

  • Peace be up on those who follow the true guidance. Ameen.

  • so do you think say a nun is brainwashed?

they wear for god only!! not for people not for show its only god who knows whats in there hearts!!!!

  • I think that having the prescence of Muslim women is rather a nice influence here in america. I'm not muslim, but i must say that it's nice to see some good example of how people can live without the excesive vanity of the United States.

I'm so tired of watching every single actress or singer popping out completely nude. where's the creativity these days??? T_T

  • as salam alaikum, thank u for your kind words.many people do say made things but i dont under stand why.We are not doing many thing wrong. We respect people and help for charity.Everyone should respect each others religion a,meen

  • They desire to extinguish the light of ALLAH with their mouths, but ALLAH will perfect His light even though the kafirs consider it hard.

  • May Allah have mercy and blessings on every good muslim sister in the whole world.

  • I have just arrived back from Netherlands ,hours ago. I have seen some Muslim sisters with Hijab, wow I was so proud of them and I pray for them.May Allah bless them and protect them.

  • Yeah, that's so true... i confess i used to laugh and talk bad about muslim girls and hijabs, but now that my mind is clear i understand and i'm very proud whenever i see my muslim friends at school. :)

  • Al humdo le Allah.

  • I'm an atheist. I thought that this was a well made vid. 'Though the fact that the girl at the start struggled with her (and Islam's) idenity showed the indoctrination involved... just a thought.

  • Well, lets get one thing straight. She won't be needing that stupid NHS jab to prevent cervical cancer from unprotected "non-interaction" and the like because she comes complete with good common Islamic sense. Try and look for that special wisdom in a non Muslim girls her age and you'll be

walking around for a very long time in deed!

  • You are talking about morals, not religion. If you cannot make the difference without religion then that is sad. I'm atheist. I don't have any STDs and I have good morals. The only common sense way is atheism.

  • Nothing of the sort. I hate religious indoctrination of any kind. I've no doubt she's a lovely, intelligent child. But a child she is. If it's not obvious to all that she has no clue what she's talking about then that is sad. we have to start letting our young decide for themselves. Or I we affraid they'll see sense?

  • Atheists make me depressed cause they is no hope with them. Anyways, why you bringing up your sad personal no sex life into the chat? Wot all that gots to do with the movie and thing? Like with that templife, you is always skulking around these Muslim sites lookin' for attention or something I don't knows. Was you dad strict with you as a kid? Could that be it? You see somethin of youself in that little english hijabi girl?

  • Don't be depressed. I'm really very happy. I don't worship ghosts or hate others because they have one more or less prophet than me. Now if someone wants to have a proper debate about the hijab i'm game.

  • How can u have a serious debate with dizzy noperson who don't know nothink about ISLAM? From the get go she was confused about the girls mum and dad being Muslim. How stupid is that? The only one using the word "hate" on this post is YOU! The only thing you have to say is to your own dad for givin yous the wrong end of the rope as a kiddy thats wot made you ugly about good and nice things. You is all wrong as the photo man said earlier.

  • I find you hard to understand vickle. I asure you that I know more about Islam than you think. You still don't answer my question though. If you want to refer to hate I think that you had better read your earlier posts about my sex life. I take no offence. Is she idoctrinated or not?

  • And, by the way, being atheist, means being non-theist, so our options are open. It does not mean there is no God, but that we are open to debate, not parental indoctrination or to subscribe to outdated formats.

  • HUSH may.

  • INDOCTRINATION! I don't know of any indoctrination when I photographed and interviewed the little child for the SISTERS project. When I visited non Muslim primary schools in the area, the children were only concerned about the car I drove, how much the camera cost and the style of my clothes. Me as a person-a human being-came well down on their sniff list. Talk of Indoctrination. I know all about stupid false value indoctrination!

  • I don't know why you're so angry. I never made a personal attack. My point was that she was/is too young to have an informed opinion and yet religion wants to get them young so that they can reiterate the beliefs of their elders. I'm guessing her parents are muslim, yes?

  • Comment removed

  • No, she's indoctrinated. Just as I was with christianity. There is no argument. You can call me what you like but at least i am old enough to have an aduld argument/conversation about it. Would she be Catholic if born in Ireland? Tell me i'm wrong!

  • Maybe, just maybe, you're talking about values, not religion.

  • I have no idea what you're talking about.

Why would i want to say anything horrible to your sister? I dont even know who she is.

You're trying to provoke a reaction: well, its not going to work with me. I've not stooped to your level by making personal judgemental comments about you.

Of course you're not going to care about the other stuff now because theres been nothing valid in your attacks.

  • Right, ok. So calling his work beautifull is called 'spreading rumours'?

  • I don't really care about all the other stuff now, I just think you need to write and say sorry to my sister who you've really hurt by telling her all those horrible things about not being pure enough.

  • FYI it was Mr Cooper who contacted me first.

  • Stop trying bully people into Islam when you is suspect in your approach to the faith coming from that depressing one horse town in Lancashire. You talk fine but we all know your motives. My good family is roman catholics, jew and Muslim and are happy together. Why spread rumours and bad things about this good movie thing? You don 't like so pop fast to some place cold like in your heart!

  • Dear Mr Cooper:

if you read through the responses carefully, you wont find any warped attitudes. Still, i'm not one who holds grudges. All the best in your endeavours. PS if i warped your mind into giving me a copy of SISTERS please do tell me. I'll only accept it, if it is still a gift. I dont want to be classed as a scrounger.

  • templife! Why you always going around these Muslim web sites trying to convert non Muslims? It ain't up to you to do that sort of thing so leave people alone right. You try it with my sister just last week and she said no thank you. Think you got enough on your plate as it is scrounging an education off the state for free!

  • excellent!

  • Subhanallah, you have no idea how happy i am to have come across this at last!! I saw the exhibition at Gallery Oldham, it was so beautifull. May you have the same success with the brothers.I'm always going to remember a comment you made about keeping the photo album inside a box...because its precious you keep covered - just like a muslim woman.

  • Again I have heard this elitism (3rd speaker)-- why can't Muslim Hijabis have self-respect without insulting and generalizing Western women? I believe that in Islam judging other people is considered sinful-- a person can only be judged by Allah.

  • I think that's so true... we aren't all the same; and i must say that even if someone does or dresses in a wrong way... every person has something about him or her that is good. Perhaps someone is for example... tooo talkative, but also likes to teach good actions to other people..?

  • lol i know asif! so cute!

  • Mashallah such beautiful photographs! I love everything this video represents! Jazak Allah!

  • MashAllah

  • When we get Al-Jazeera TV in America, our First Amendment freedoms will be restored.

  • british accent sounds cute only when the kids are speaking it.

  • I guess you are bringing OneMJDN's videos to this channel. This is great because he had some really rare videos and lectures, I hope you can bring more of them. Lastly any update on OneMJDN? is he coming back?

  • SubhanAllah. JazakhumAllahKhairun. Salaam, fot

  • اللهم صلي على محمد وعلى أزواجه وذريته كما صليت على آل إبراهيم وبارك على محمد وعلى

  • :) mashAllah very cool, thanks for uploading it, Jazzak Allah Khair

  • Mashallah- excellent video. I just have one disagreement. Near the end, one sister rightly states that one shouldn't laugh too loudly - but I disagree that this is limited to only women. It also applies to the men.

  • I will be addressing this issue in the next book entitled BROTHERS later this year.

  • Yeah, i'm not against it but i admit women who laugh outloud sound like chiken xD.

And men laughin' outloud sounds creepy i think. x)

  • mascha-Allah our princess muslimahs:)

    thx for this cute clip:):)

  • masha-allah

keep up the good job :)

  • Divine!!!!

  • masha-allah..the young one speaks sense
