NBC insisted the girl at 1:36 cover her midriff so that HER NAVEL WASN'T EXPOSED (as Barbara Eden's wasn't)- so the show's costume designer used "netting"to make it look like she was wearing a very unconventional "one-piece bathing suit"...how times have changed!

Originally aired on January 15, 1966 in black & white. Whatever Sidney Sheldon wrote in his scripts about "Jeannie's many accomplishments", they were often left dormant in later seasons because he restricted himself to only a few scripts every year, under various pseudonyms ["Mark Rowane", "Allan Devon", "Christopher Golato"]. Head writer and "script consultant" James Henerson (1968-'70) usually concentrated on frantic slapstick and ridiculous situations...

Interesting. This is a colorized ep. from season 1 (note the goofy stopper and different paint job on the bottle). "Among Jeannie's many accomplishments is the fact that she's able to change time." They obviously ditched that idea because they never would have had to work themselves out of any jams. When I was a kid I never noticed how incredibly hot she really is, and she was like 32 when the series started! (I thought she was about 22). Good minisode.
