This is simply one of the most innovative and exciting offenses in football history. I would love it if a team ran some formations out of the Split-T today.
Thanks for your comment. My Dad played for Don Faurot in the late 1930s, just as he was developing the Split-T. That offense is the foundation of the modern "triple option" that the service academies run as well as Georgia Tech.
Faurot was one of the great innovators in college football. My late father played for Faurot and later coached under him at Mizzou. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Erk, MU should be good again next year, but the starting QB, Blaine Gabbert, declared for the draft and will likely be the first QB chosen (likely a top 7 pick). Mizzou also lost their starting DE, Aldon Smith to the draft. You might remember his acrobatic interception and 60 yard run-back against Oklahoma. Most everyone else is back, but now with NU and CU gone, Missouri will have to play OU and Texas each year. Tough row to hoe as they say!

I love it. I am a huge fan of this offense. Faurot's book is among my prized possessions.

Great vintage stuff as usual Snickers. What is the forecast for Mizzou FB next season?
