People who think Kaba or Jabba are the best are basically teenagers who really don't know the world of street dance. They are ok but they are equivalent to Britney Spears in singing world. If you look at individual dancers from both group, they are pretty weak. People should check dancers like brooklyn terry, link, caleaf from eleite force crew.

@speakfortruth I disagree. The groups are more mainstream but hell I know a few street crews personally and attend jams to break sometimes as well as watch my dudes perform, but I still like Jabba and Kaba. Given I'm still 19. Don't think theyre wack though. Ever heard of runaway tribe?

when ppl think of hip hop- they only have one mindset. im soo glad that KM thinks outside of the box.. and theyve been consistently the only group that represents female dancers and other forms of hip hop besides the typical stunts, backflips, "when the beat goes ahh, one dancer does a a flip while the other dancers point in his direction making sure the audience stares in amazement at him", krumping, over the top dance.. soo glad KM is the riskiest group out there

Give props to Kaba Modern for always being on the cutting edge of dancing frontiers! Yeah, it's not hip hop songs, but you can't deny that wasn't an amazing dancing. However, I do think they deserved the bronze medal, and not higher. Felt something was lacking.

who says hip hop is restricted to one type of music? dance is about expression and if a choreographer so chooses to use a different genre, who are we to limit their creativity?

also, there is no such thing as an "old kaba." you may be using the km6 as your reference group, but there is a history of kaba even way older than them :P kaba modern will always be constantly evolving.

i do though respect that you are entitled to your own opinion, this is just mine :)
