Dammit I don't want them killing Desmond off and am still pissed off that the motherfucking Constant has gotten so little use these past 2 seasons. With the death of Faraday, Desmond is the only God-tier character left.

nah id say this is the best one because i didnt even know this was lost until i saw jack and john looking down the hatch, thats what blew me away, that our biggest wonder (at that time back in 2004-05) what exactl was in that hatch was answered without us knowing. its so genious. season 3's bleww me away too. not as much as htis but as for seson 3, the last thing i expected was there to be a neighborhood on the island. season 4's intro sucked. "a speed chase"?
dont you notice how it appears how desmond is waking up in the morning, and getting ready for the day, and yet its actually the evening when they bust the door open, obviously desmond's biological clock is messed up with all his shifts to get up to push the button that he doesnt care.
Not only that, but also they make it seem as though he is waking up after sleeping for a reasonable period of time when in fact, it's been years since he was able to sleep for any longer than 108 minutes at a time.

I agree with you too. One of the best scenes of all seasons 'til now. I love Desmond and "Make Your Own Kind of Music" makes me fell so nice and nostalgic.

Yes. You get the explanation in the s2 finale. Desmond was about to commit suicide when Locke started banging on the hatch.
