Without the monetary instrument to solve the crisis, the instrument that is left is fiscal. If we don't have any of them, it's like selling the country to Germany. 1st I liked the Euro, it was cute, but since we have it, we in Portugal, along with Italy, are among the countries with less economic growth in the world.

Dont ask the Irish people to pay the debts imposed on them by their Government or corporate criminals that took million dollar bonuses etc. Get the money back from them and pay the debts yourselves. Do not ask the Irish people to accept austerity measures because they do not owe anybody anything. I think all countries should take that attitude and pay the rotten sods a lesson.

SInce then we've been denied a vote on the European Constitution and on the Treaty of Lisbon.
