  • Wow, he just throws the Joker of the building and kills him in cold blood.

  • Beating the Joker by punching him in the dick over and over. Im shocked he made a return.

  • is that shredder as a boss?

  • Holy smoke! Never did beat that game in all the years I've owned it (my Game Genie doesn't count!). lol Touché

  • I played a lot this game. Nostalgia.

  • HOLY FUCKING HELL!!!!! I finally just beat this damn game!!!! I used to play it when I was a tot and couldn't get past the third boss or so... but I just recently borrowed the game from my cousin and played it for about three hours and finally beat the god damn pussy ass clown fagot cheese douche freak of nature slimy no good for nothing bitch titty licking rabid colostomy bag munchin FUCK FACE!!!! hahahahahaha!!!! point is I couldn't have done it with out watching your videos. thnx alot man!!

  • Hands down the best batman game ever made! And the music is so awesome!

  • great run! but i got to admit i hate the ending, it makes it look like Batman murders joker at the end but he really tried to save him in the movie.

  • I commend Danny T on his efforts in beating this super-hard video game. I, for one, obviously didn't think plain fisticuffs would work against the Joker.

  • why does the shredder show up and start throwing fire balls at batman?

  • thats legit man. great game. by far my favorite.

  • Cool , good game bro , this game is very hard , congratulations

  • great run.. its kinda funny at the end when batman kills the joker, i thought killing was against his morales

  • You're secretly playing as Jean-Paul Valley, duh. ;-P

  • well at least its a decent ending for all the hard work you put in to beat this game and kinda violent for a nes game

  • I will always remember the joker fight in this game because of that huge gun.

  • made it look so easy. Guh.. you are a true hardcore gamer.

  • wow at 1:46 u almost died there...wow i bet that was intense lol=)

  • oh man :D i used to love this game... such a long time ago :)

  • made some pretty boneheaded moves going into the final 2 bosses but pulled through. Your joker strat is much better than mine but I try to refill my life at the end because I just plow through the tower

  • Thats Werid Jocket bigger then Batman :D

  • I like the part where you punch that thing.

  • This game was so fun to play, even after pasting & conquering it so many times.

  • When I had put up my videos of Batman Returns (no deaths), and Batman: RotJ (2 deaths), I was going to settle with putting up my Batman one that I had beat the same day as those two, but I wasn't at all satisfied with it, had 2 deaths and I know I could do better, have done better, my best many years ago was with 1 death, intended to best that as well. So yesterday I gave it a try (2 tries actually), and finally my first time, I beat Batman without dying.

  • Excellent! Glad to hear about your triumph :D

  • Yep, same here, I knew that you could and would do it, congratulations!

  • You really cut it close with Firebug, Daniel. I knew this was a no deaths run, but it still made me nervous that you were somehow going to die against him. Me, I'd have to make sure I have full health just to be on the safe side, sometimes this guy can be kinda cheap if he suddenly decides to jump in close enough to hit you with those rapidfire punches.

  • Yeah, tell me about it lol! Screwing up twice on that jump leading up to Firebug, is what made this a lot closer than it should have been!

Firebug is definitely cheap from in close, Megan, he'll eat Batman alive in the middle of the screen, but I always found the wall to be the safest spot to deal with this boss.

In this particular case, Batman was placed just enough off the wall, causing Firebug to land a near fatal blow. When I repositioned the caped crusader, the outcome was set.

  • Sorry about making you nervous near the end, MissClawful, I don't like cutting things sooo close, but tend to do so, for whatever reason lol!

You can probably imagine how nervous I was during this speed run :).

It was a very nerve racking/stressful process, as this isn't exactly the kind of game that is meant to be finished very quickly.

  • No need to apologize, that just means that the playthru was all that more exciting. I had mentioned in a comment on DLH112's speed run for this game that what I liked about it is that it wasn't a perfect playthru, perfect sometimes isn't as entertaining, it helps to have a few close calls to keep up the intensity.

  • my god you definitly deserve a medal! great job

  • Thank you for the kind words, ChucklesPiggy, but I don't need a medal or anything hehe!

Getting to read people's reactions is the best gift that a person could ever receive! Shows that struggling through games like these was worth all of the effort!

If these videos happen to make some people happy, or even inspires them to do their best in some way, then I am glad to have contributed in a positive way :).

  • Hey, you inspired me, I was just going to settle with putting up my 2 deaths playthru I'd beaten the same day as the other two Batman games, but then I watched your deathless speedrun, I was like, hell, why settle with less than best when I know full well I could do this without dying. Coarse we're playing totally different types of games, you're risking taking hits to cut down time, I have to take my time, pace myself, any faster and I'd screwed up for sure.

  • wow ur insane I never past the 4th level when I had an nes and u made it look so easy

  • Thank you, psp785, you can definitely finish this game too! All you need to do is to play it again and have the belief that you can win, trust me, it's very beatable!

And yes, I am definitely insane! Only a freak like me would play those obscure games that basically no one even bothers with (Bad Street Brawler, Power Punch II to name a few), right?

You see, the nice thing about me is, that I play "the good, the bad and the ugly", I don't discriminate, I play everything! :)

  • I'm all about playing every kind of game as well, literally only a handful (out of hundreds) so far I've completely despised to the point that I never really want to play them. But most supposedly bad games usually aren't that bad. And then there's those more obscure games, sometimes those are better than the more well known ones.

  • wow. That ending is much more hardcore than the movie. He's just like "You killed my parents, so i'm gonna throw your ass off the damn tower..."

  • Had I not just seen it I wouldn't have believed this game could be beaten without dying at least once.

  • Is it me or does the boss in the 2 min section look like a cross between the Predator and Shredder from TMNT Turtles in Time?

  • I loved this game, andI still love it. It's so awesome

  • Just completed the game myself. I remember when I first played it like 14 years ago or so I got to the second level or so and I stopped because it was too hard. Now I finally beat the game and damn that Joker is really hard. They don't make games like these anymore. It require skills, reflexes, timing and patience. Really hard for a 5 year old to complete though.

  • I thought it was hilarious how the ending showed the dark, emotional picture of the Joker's dead face...only to have the "auto picture" thing start blinking.

  • Lol, yeah I never understood why the joker was 7ft tall in this game.

  • good video I used to play this as a kid, it brings back old memories, as a kid I only got to the fourth or fith level, good times

  • Quite possibly the best ending of any game ever made.

  • Now you will dance with the devil in the pale moon light.SIMPLE AS THAT :)) fuckin' funny ending 5stars for the upload ShinCyriades&DTysonator

  • Thanks a lot, bro! Glad that we could have given you some fun ^_^

  • I could never get that far... I am happy to finally see the ending of that game.. Thanks a lot.. you kicked ass!!!!

  • i never knew how to beat joker! o man, thanks for posting

  • Cool, I'm glad that the video could help, EstepaOnYou!

  • It's cool that you can wall jump and the fact that when you hit usually things that could kill you (the moving cogs for example) you dont die, but instead lose one piece of health. That's good programming.

  • It also keeps the game from being completely frustrating, lol. It's hard enough already :P

  • that is some pretty good playing. If your interested you should check out my 13:05 run, I die once it though. So Daniel T still holds the record for deathless : ).

  • Yeah, I did check out your speed run, DLH112 and loved some of the strategies that you used, but forgot to leave a comment. You seem like you know the game a lot more than I do!

  • Nice run, but I dont remember that last seen in the movie.

  • Thanks! I can't remember that last scene so well either, but it looks like it's near the end of the movie.

  • Yeah the NES ending is definitely much darker than the movie's, Maximum549.

I believe that it's the darkest ending of all of the Batman video games based on the film, which is interesting considering that it's an NES related game.

  • Yeah

  • Great, often underrated game. But what's with Joker? He can create lightning? Also, he makes Batman look like a midget.

  • Yes this is definitely a great game, Maxnificent. It is funny how the Joker is God-like in this game lol. Compared to all of the other versions of Batman the video game, he is just so much more powerful and intimidating on the NES.

The Joker's ability to summon lightning can probably be attributed to the fact that Nintendo used the slogan "Now you're playing with power!", that was often accompanied by bolts of lightning in their advertisements.

  • Hard game indeed, I finished the game when I was young, but I never did attempt something like this. But who knows ;)

  • excellent work man.

i never had enough lifes left to get past the joker at the end. one of the hardest games i had ever played on the original nes (that and the first TMNT game). much respect.

  • Thanks, rnorecords! The Joker is easily one of the most challenging final bosses around. I remember how he blasted Batman to dust when I was initially just trying to finish the game.

The trick is to jump over his bullets and to punch him as he is about to run into Batman, this way when he runs into Batman he should glow orange so that no energy will be taken off of Batman's life meter. Be sure to find the safest range between the lightning bolts as well and all should be good!
