Its in australia. Its the result of a huge lake in the desert which fills up once every fifty years or so. When it finally dries this dust storm always forms. The whole east coast of australia was affected and you could see it from space!

Theres crystals in the dust which would have reflected the light, if not, than it would have made it worse by only displaying sand instead of the road ahead, its better off leaving the lights off

@tori7022 judging by videos i have seen, i don't think they are very dangerous at all. It might depend, just like some lightning storms are and aren't. I just know that the sand can ruin paint jobs and stuff.

@tori7022 they can be, but rarely are...other than you can't see much once inside them. Some sandstorms are said to reach a ferocity that can almost tear your skin off...pretty much like sandpaper scratching over your skin. That being said, I'd not drive into one no matter what. You can;t see where you;re going and might hit something or get hit. Once inside a sanstorm you're best off to stop your car somewhere and sit it out.
