that pinching thing isn't true, why does everyone say that, one time in my dream i pinched myself, and inside my dream the pinch felt real, so i thought it was reality :/
I dont know what ur talking about, but i remember my dream, and i can fully control it most of the time and i can desire of anything and i can have that in my dream but, the timing is not much, i try not to wake up and keep it as long as i want but it seems like its impossible, for me it less not so long may be couple of minutes. its scary not fun some times, bcz i feel the whisper or the person very close to me knowing i am dreaming.
thinking about it makes me wanna try but I'm also really nervous and it gets me scared cus i have heard bout side affects and scary bad things that can happen
My first lucid dream was about me meeting chachi from I.am.me and she smiled and it ended... It was soo real though.. I'm on my first night practicing for another
@1337EK first off, i wasn't trying to be rude when i said "you make me laugh" BUT yes chachi, I.am.me, dance crew, ABDC lol i'm a dancer. But chachi's pretty hot.
I first learned about Lucid Dreams about 3 days ago. My first lucid dream was last night my dream was short, I was standing in front of my mirror brushing my hair staring straight at myself then I smiled and told myself,"I'm dreaming." laughed then said it once more in my head and I woke up. It was so real but I knew it was a dream because there was something different about my room and myself, it felt so real. :D
@prrquaa There are some great resources out there to help. Check out the description on this video, I've updated it with some new links. Have fun!
Some quick tips that really helped me: 1)Eat eggs - they are high in choline, which helps optimizes your brain chemistry for lucid dreams 2)Pay attention before you go to sleep - tell yourself that you will have a lucid dream and that you will remember it 3)Drink water before you go to bed - it gives you a chance to wake up in the middle of a dream.
pinching yourself usually wont help in a dream, because the brain makes you think that it hurts, and its precived as pain in the dream... or something...
@MaRkIpArK I'd agree, I've never heard that pinching yourself in a dream is a good way to stay lucid.
Experts say the best way to stay in a lucid state is to spin your body. It distracts your mind from feeling your sleeping body. Either that or rub your hands together in your dream.
@DalueCommentarys The first thing I notice when I become lucid is a surreal feeling of freedom. I get a wave of good vibes and I usually end up waking up.
Most of the time I get to enjoy a quick flight or some other neat experience before the dream ends.
If you're making a conscious effort to control it, try to avoid doing so. Thinking will often snap you out of the dream state. It's more about feeling (at least for me anyway).
but last nite I did, i woke up saw myself in my room, and I moved my hand it seemed all wavy and trippy as fuck, I felt all numb, I realised I was dreaming all of a sudden I hear this high pitched noise and i was like omg and iwoke up, SO HOW THE FUCK DO I STAY ASLEEP IN A LUCID DREAM
There are many different ways to keep yourself in a lucid dream. One way is to start spinning (in your mind of course). Another is, before you go to sleep, remind yourself that if you become lucid you will remain calm and focus on things inside the dream. This way you won't immediately think of your body and wake up.
i find that mantras while meditating before i sleep tend to help. im still fairly new but in one month ive already managed atleast five lucid dreams. also i dont know if he mentioned it in the video cuz i didn want to listen to the whole thing but its extremely important that you keep a dream journal. practicing dream memory is very important. whats the point of having a lucid dream if you cant remember it?
@twistaj32 The mantra sounds like a good idea. When I was younger, and could more easily enter a lucid dream, I would get repeating imagery in my mind before sleeping. So, essentially a visual mantra.
Another thing that really helps that I didn't discuss in the video is taking supplements - particularly "choline". Since I started taking it I can recall my dreams much more frequently.
@twistaj32 You can buy it online, or probably at a local vitamin shop. Amazon offers it from a number of sellers. It shouldn't cost you anymore than $15.
If you enjoy a good lucid dream its time to pull out the big gunz....a lucid dream can enrich your life but an out of body experience will change it, and most likely for the better. Both are good though. spread the word :) ....
...though many will call you crazy and ask you what you are smoking...to which i often reply 'crack' (well its more fun to say than pot isnt it?)
Well put Mystic. Honestly that is the one of the reasons why I practice lucid dreaming techniques. From what I understand most of the states also relate to OBE's as well.
I don't think it's crazy to believe that you can astral project. I've heard many stories from reliable sources. I'm just still in the process of being able to have one myself.
@Mysticmorris I see you are a fan of Rich too, he's a cool dude, and has some really helpful videos. I got some OBE associated buzzing today - but I'm trying to be patient and not get too excited about it. That is counterproductive. Thanks
JoJo - I think you might be talking about an OBE. Generally lucid dreaming isn't scary, but it can be very realistic. The good thing about lucid dreaming, is that if you are having nightmares regularly then you will be able to regain control of your dreams.
You can learn a lot from your dreams, and there is nothing to be afraid of. You can't be hurt there. Keep this in mind and you can't go wrong :)

I tried to take control, looked at my hands but nothing happened. What initially happens when you realize your dreaming?
