when he said not to expensive he meant, there is not much diffrence from a regular fly deluxe or mojo compared to this, theres like 800 $ diffrence and the extra aparatus costs itselfs costs 600$,
goddamn this guitar costs a retarted amount of money! it surly looks bad ass but holy fuck $4200! and this royal tool says its "not too expensive", i don't fallow that logic because i feel like i need to start selling drugs to pay for this thing, maybe one day when i'm a mafia drug lord i can afford to play an instrument as decadent as this thing
@DubStepClassic George Bush will give you a free top of the range parker fly guitar of your choice if you can kill everyone in the world and spend hot saunas with him and his mother Barbara Bush for the rest of your life. Offer expires at midnight.
I have a Parker Fly Mojo - it was too expensive. The Midi version is way out of my reach. Once a guitar costs 1/4 the price of a new car it's too expensive for most folks. I would love a Parker Midi but I'm thinking about a used Fender Roland Ready Strat off of eBay for $400 or so, rather than the not too expensive Parker Midi.
i have the roland gr20 and gk3 pick up set up..would a synth guitar sound better then a normal guitar with a gk3 installed? im on about responce time..if not im not gonna bother buying one, but if there is a major improvement i'd look into it..
@mushthemagicdragon This setup would be no different than a regular guitar with the GK-3 added. All they've done is mount the GK-3 parts internally. Several people have told me that using piezos in the bridge will track notes better than the magnetic GK-3 pickups, but the response time should be about the same. The synth does all of that processing. I'm about to install a Ghost system in an old Peavey, so I'll see how it compares to the GK-3 on my Strat.
@skruvmaejsel no dumbbell you use it as a midi controller to trigger virtual instruments (drums, trumpets etc) so you would play the guitar...run a program on your computer (plug in or other virtual instrument) and the guitar would control that instrument....
did he say not too much? i think that $5200 is not really in the "not too expensive" catagory, probly a great guitar but saying its not too much is a pretty misleading
@musicman9901 It all depends how serious you are. Professional horn players, string players, etc would be delighted to get one of the best instruments available for $25K, let alone $5.2k. They know that the best is worth more than their house. Even serious hobbies can easily cost more-people spend thousands on a single slot car, or tropical fish. Guitarists are spoiled, because we know we can get great sounds out of a $300 guitar-but trust me-it ain't the same as a fly!
I bought a synth-ready Godin for 800 bucks, it works tremendously well.

"Not too expensive." What he meant to say was this guitar is worth spending so much. It is of great value.

"This is something every guitar player... it's a must have." Um... EVERY guitar player needs to spend over $5K on a guitar? Dork.

I'm with you Schmendlow, the Moog is a far better guitar and probably less expensive!!!
ScrumptiousStrat 2 years ago
there are tons of cheap midi guitars out there, I'd rather spend my money on a nice moog guitar or something similar
