i remember playing a fiesta red one at guitar center years ago. It has the most comfortable neck for power chords ive ever played on till this day and the designed by Kurt Cobain sticker on the back of the headstock. Amazing tone on distortion of course and sounds waaaay better in person.
i have a 96 ordered it in 95 was wondering if i could tell how early in production it was by the serial # it is true it dosent stay in tune if u use the bar often however it is a very nice shepe for playing sitting and is very near to my heart regardless of the quality of its build its a pice of nirvana history what do you guys suspect the value is of one of these in the hard fender case??
The original ones had a designed by Kurt Cobain sticker on the headstock, this one is painted, which means it's a reissue, you can simply unbolt the neck and the date will be there
That's not an original, the originals were made in 96. Which have a fender 50 years of excellency sticker. So this one was probably made in 97, or a 2000-2006 reissue series, still an awesome guitar though, mine is a 96 and I love it
@TheRealSonicYouth maybe, most people dont though, not like a little tiny sticker gets in the way, hahaa. it might be a 95 though, but then again it might not be, since very few were made in 95, but either way all them, reissue or not, are awesome
@sleeq1993 no gingerfullness is right, kurt had 3 different prototypes of this guitar and he hated all of them, he wanted the body to have a contour body similar to the mustang or even the stratocaster, fender made it with a thicker body closer to that of a telecaster, not to mention the fender classic vibrato which seemingly never is in tune. i have 2 jagstangs one in fiesta red and one in sonic blue and i love them for what they are a lowball concept that was never finished. mij > mia
@longhair193 strats are way better than a jagstang. Jagstangs didnt get the design work that a strat got so there a bit rough id go with a strat or a fender jaguar both really good guitars
WAY!!!! the guy wants 425 but the back has some damage to it. a guy at a guitar store said its prob worth 400, but the fact that its a lefty might factor into it. I tried trading a '76 Alverez accoustic and a newer Epiphone accoustic and the bastard would only offer me 200 bucks, HELL NO! it sounds good, but its strung left so I cant really play it well(Duh). its either rent or the guitar and Im leaning twards the guitar!!
its the reissue. 96 was fenders 50th anniversary so if it were the original it would have the gold 50th anniversary sticker right next to the designed by kurt cobain sticker on the back of the head stock.
I gave around $1,250 for mine in mint condition and slightly Modified. Money well spent!!! I will never part with it and they are becoming very RARE. Get one while you still can.
is it right handed or left handed?

how can you sell it??????? :´(
i wanna have one but i´m just 13 and my epiphone sucks!
elbl83 2 years ago
I'm not buying this one now because you ruined the neck by taking all the strings off. LOL!
chris141325t 2 years ago
@chris141325t i agree with you. but it still don't take much to adjust it
mikolene97 2 years ago 2
Dude, it was sacasm aimed at all the people who carry on and believe that removing strings somehow ruins a neck beyond a simple truss adjustment.
It is a good guitar and I'm sure the buyer will be very happy - all the best with the sale.
chris141325t 2 years ago
@chris141325t It doesn't in any way effect the guitar by removing the strings
