I would love to have this, but I can only afford the s900, or the baby brother to it, s700. does anyone know the difference between the s700 and the s900 other than the price, number of sounds, and being the baby brother of tyros 2? I have been told by several dealers to stay away from the tyros line.
tyros 2 is adequate mate i have and its awesome tyros 3 only has 2 extra buttons for super articulation and an 80gn h/drive built in. something you could add on tyros later no point spending £2900 when u can get T2 for less than £2000.
I don't know what to buy. Tyros 3 or MOTIF XS6. Which instrument has more professional, rich and realistic sound? Can anybody give me advice? What is a difference between these instruments? (except accompaniment styles in Tyros 3)?
i had the motif xs6 and its nothing like the tyros 2 or 3 its doesnt have any styles its all arpegiator i didnt like the motif xs6 and i sold it to put the money toward a tyros 3.
go check them both out at a shop before you buy one and i bet you go with the tyros 3
I watched on YouTube a lot of clips with Tyros 2. Most people use accompanement. And I felt sick to wach most of those clips. In 95% I prefer to create music by myself, I mean track by track including arpegiator of course to simulate running over the strings of an acoustic guitar for example and other instruments which it's difficult to simulate on piano keyboard. I think arpegiator is very useful thing. And that's why it's great that MOTIF XS has enormous number of 6000 patterns.
Thank you for your answer. But problem is I can't check those instruments becouse it's impossible to find them in my city. :)
About styles (accompaniments). Yes, XS6 doesn't have ones. But I think may be it's better to have 6000 patterns of arpegiator than 450 accompaniment styles. I think it's much more universal and useful option. Second thing about accompaniments is I think they will bothered very fast and it's possible to become degraded if use them quite often.

when I saw this video I thought is was big too, but in reallife it's not that big :)
Only 2cm. wider then a PSR9000
pdebie1982 3 years ago
Actually I played on it last weekend. And yes, its bigger than the Tyros and Tyros 2.
ssaelen 3 years ago
True, but still I don't think it's huge.
A piano is huge. This isn't :)
