Actually white skin gives europeans a reproductive edge on dark skins. In cold climates white skin assists in the absorption of more of the suns rays. An amount of sun is needed for the body to process vitamin K. Blacks need to take vitamin k supplements in colder climates since their bodies cannot absorb as much of the sun's rays. @Rockynurse Whites can safely absorb the sun in the colder months, and blacks can in the hotter months. Meaning, BOTH need a little aid in vitamin D and K production at different times. So exactly where do they have the edge? We still get the intake in the colder months, just not as much as whites; just as they get some in the hotter months, but safely aren't able to get as much as us.
