@dontliethetruth unfortunately, mister Hoppe is right. USSR was of course very cruel, but US imperialism has forget even about external manifestation of decency - for sake of democracy destroying emerging democracies in many 3d world countries or exterminating millions in countries like Vietnam or Iraq ...Or US supporting of Israel.
Democracy should be de-legitimized! People should know that the mass murder of Iraqis and Afghans is a result of democratic ideology more than anything else.
Sociology is not only worthless, but dangerous. It warps ones mind - it divores political questions from ethical questions
Like it or not, all government - democracies, rebulics, monarchies, dictatorships - are democratic
If there is a culture which hates reason, hates material wealth, worships petty, primitive lifestyles, their government - and it's behavior will refelct that.
Such cultures are necessarily threats to their opposites
Life, nor peace is not achieved by standing still
sociology doesn´t put out predictions that could be empirically tested, which is mandatory for any science according to "critical rationalism" as laid out by Popper.
The same is true for psychology and economics - pseudo-sciences...
Popper called the different approaches "nominalism" ("what does that mean?") vs. "essientialism" ("what is it?"), but I think it´still: sophism vs. philosophy.
"the foundation of liberty is private property"
this is the essence of the "libertarian" philosophy, it clearly reveals itself as a system of believes, all built on this core idea.
I wish Hoppe would use his critical thinking on his own position, but maybe that would drive away his sponsors...

Agree, would like to add:
