We're all insecure but when you start putting down other people because they are different than you is when you need to be put in your place, not for your benefit as much as it is for the benefit of the people you are potentially going to hurt. It's impossible to not be insecure in a society like this, we can't lie to ourselves (more than we already do) and say we're completely comfortable, otherwise we wouldn't feel the need to buy Jordans or have nice cars.
