If there's one thing I've learned from Silent Hill it's this:

When you find wierd, out of place, smart, cute, seemingly nice, alone, and unscratched children wandering around...PICK THEM UP AND ASK THEM TO EXPLAIN!

I swear, both Henry and James just see these kids and when the children walk off they just stare off and wonder..."Who the hell?" If it was me, I'd keep them close.....the kids seem to KNOW things....

It's not blood. It's a curse mark. The more she gets hit and the longer she's in that world, she gets cursed. You'll notice that as time goes on, it gets darker.
