im bred and born in thornaby this was my mothers favorite song (flossy Crossley meredith we played it at her funeral on 27th august 2010 she was proud to be from thornaby wat a fitting tribute.
thornaby born and bred it was once great and will be again soon best place in the world to be if you dont like it move great song reminds me of sweaty bettys on westburry lol
@husko4376 goodness sweaty bettys :) lol Eddy cottles, the rag & bone Yard all memories Had Family that Lived behind a shop on Mandale Road, and family off Lane House Road went to Harewoods then Westbury Jnrs. Loved the fairs on the old triangle.....
shut the old cnut up who sings this ffs ive never in my entire life heard anything quite so BOLLIX! fcuk off and shut up you sound total shyte. youve just wasted 3 mins of my life
OK little man i will put you on the end of my rod and let you get bitten by piranhas you little shit and whats the pie shop? or am i too old for this shit
Im Thornaby born and bred, i agree the place is starting to pick itself up but this song reflects just how it used to be in 'the good ol days', Thornaby should be proud of this song...
I was born and bred in Thornaby, i left at 21, been away 16 years now miss it every day, until its gone its then you mis it, fortunately i am only 50 miles away, but its 50 too much, will return one day.
thornaby isn't going down the dump, its getting new houses and flats everywhere plus a new town center. the problem is youth culture of today. everywhere suffers because of it really.
You should check out Carmen & Dick's rock opera Thornaby. There's a couple of videos up on here. It's more reflective of the current state of the town though. Not quite a snostalgic as this. They are almost like cultural bookends.
that was really nice. i live in thornaby myself and love it but personally i think its going down the dump at the moment. can i just ask were you got the song from?
