  • hmmm, it needs a doctor.

  • How about i punch you for not getting it to start,

  • @floodedcar123 pinch or punch? ;) I still haven't gotten it to run. I think I'm going to ask some guys on the tractor forum if someone wants to fix it for a Sears 12 trade. *sigh*

  • Great setup!

I purchased my first riding mower 6 months ago and it is the 1977 Sears 16/6 Onan lke this.

They have that problem with the carburator float (fiber) which I replaced with a $23 brass one through Ebay. Still works every time and I use the daylights out of this tractor with mower deck. hauling a trailer with firewood to the house uphill! A front blade or loader like yours would be nice to have.

  • Is it working again? Enjoy your new "toy"! :)

  • sticky needle valve

  • @jasonmushersee

YEP! you are right. Actually.. the mechanic said that the needle was wearing out the ring? Any how, carb rebuild kit and a new float ($70) and labor for the mechanic - fixed! Just waiting to get it back from them now! :)

    Thanks for the tip!!!

  • Looks good! looks like the frame of the loader is bent forward though?

  • @BillTheTractorMan yeah, the trip home was not easy. It's not bent forward, just the loader bucket has sunk all the way down. :( That is where the little punk at the S.E. repair shop used it as a stepping stool off the back of my truck. I almost passed out when he did that.

Other than that, it's just the weight of the tractor on the back of the truck that makes it look like that. :)
