  • I have flown with many instructors, and I think one of the most important things is for a flight instructor to have their ego in check. Too many instructors treat their job as an opportunity to show off, or elevate themselves over the students. Also, a great instructor should always know the line between constructive criticism and putting a student down.

I don't think a great pilot is always made by a great instructor, I think a great pilot is one who is great despite a bad instructor.

  • Respect comes to mind right away. It covers such a wide range of aspects.

Mutual respect - of each other and their goals

Respect - of the knowledge and responsibilities

Respect - of other aviators and their safety

Respect - of your own self, of the equipment you fly, of the duties you have

Respect in "fear" - if nothing worries you at all about a certain flight, you might be missing something.

That is a big one for me. I feel much more comfortable when my student takes his flight seriously.

  • hey couldnt find it on your website but what makes A great flight instructor is a Flight instructor who can teach the material right and who takes time for you to do them correct as he taught you and most important a flight instructor who gets you to pass your PPL
