@destruck no im not literally meaning that its cheap. and im not doubting the LS at all. its just garbage that its damn near the only thing used in drifting now. if its not the LS is the manufacturer V8. like nissan's VQ. it's probably just me but i dont like seeing every car with a v8 under the hood. sure its nice it has power and can have big power but in drifting that not all you need. last event i attended there was one 4rotor and 2 other non v8s the rest were all v8.

@TeamfalkenDrift No doubt, but these days I bet most teams are going with proven reliable power setups then having to experiment and engineer new setups. I think honestly it's due to new drifting being all about over powered torque monster cars that are "easy" to drift in for the show aspect.

Wouldn't want the engine to break down in the middle of a competition, so Reliability is before "uniqueness" Though I'm sure they could pump out as much horse with the Inline6's from BMW M3's, but might not be as reliable.
