I have only read three Jordan books and didn't like them. So, I am not interested in his work in the Wheel of Time story, however, I read his Elantris not too long ago and loved it. So, I want to read his stuff, not what he is adding to Jordan's legacy.
@Atalantius Thanks for that. If he can really claim to own what he is doing to Jordan's creation I might look in to it. I was vastly impressed with Elantris and have already planned to read Mistborn and Warbreaker. I will read those first before Way of Kings. Plus I stopped at the third Wheel of Time book, don't you need to read everything up to Way of Kings, or is it completely different?
@Thaibebop Ah, no, I might not have made myself clear enough! Brandon is working on several books. He has written The Gathering Storm, and Towers of Midnight is coming out shortly, I think, and he will then write A Memory of Light. All of these are based on Robert Jordan's notes, and are a continuation of the WoT series, as Jordan sadly did not get the chance to finish it. The Way of Kings is his own original series that's coming out (The Stormlight Archive), it's not related to WoT at all.
@Atalantius Yes, Mistborn, Warbreaker and Elantris were all wonderful, wonderful books. They're a few of my favorites, actually. I would recommend them to any fantasy fan.
What a nerd... no wonder his books are so damned great

@Thaibebop The Way of Kings is his own work. You should check out Mistborn and Warbreaker as well, they're awesome.
