  • As a NJ resident all my life, all I have to say is AMEN. This man should be president, hands down. Please run for president Governor Christie.

  • I live in NJ. I just moved here from another state and I think the man is a genius. He is working hard for the people of the state of New Jersey and I give him a thumbs up. Good Job governor.

  • @Vox91 Let me get this straight: He's a lousy Governor because the $200 mil increase is no increase at all? Ok, I'll buy that...but then, what's that really saying - that there really isn't any money, period? Before you start throwing comments around about tax cuts for the wealthy & large corporations, you may want to think about the fact that NJ has been spending on borrowed money for YEARS! Now, you're throwing rocks at his head 'cause he's trying to turn that around? Respectfully, I disagree.

  • This fat fucking pig is all about financing tax cuts for corporations, banks and the very rich by gutting public education and public safety and placing an even heavier tax burden on the middle class. If you think he's not after your job and your savings too, think again. Fuck you, Chris Christie.

  • @Vox91 You liberals have only ONE tactic - accuse everyone of attacking the middle class. It's comical - you just say the SAME things about EVERYONE who isn't a Democrat. Rubber-stamp mentality.

FACT: He's not "gutting public education". In fact, his budget was $200 million MORE than the previous governor's budget for education. $200 million! The DIFFERENCE??? He doesn't have the LUXURY of a $1 billion "stimulus" check that the previous governor got from the Fed.

    Can you even THINK?

  • @BBCater FOX News bobbleheads like you won't get it until you're working at Wal-Mart and living in a cardboard box. It's funny how the only place this alleged $200 million increase seems to exist is on FOX News and the right right-wing radio echo chambers .

If you live in New Jersey, why don't you go to your next local Board of Ed. meeting and ask what their plans are for the increase in funds that Christie has provided them? No double talk, just do it. And then see how hard they laugh.

  • This Baby Huey piece of crap has the BALLS to tell firefighters they need to share the sacrifice? I hope they do run him for president. I'm going to enjoy helping to destroying him because he's an asshole.

  • @Tanfeliz And I cannot wait to crush and destroy whatever Commie pinko the Democratic Party of New Jersey decides to run against him for governor when he's up for re-election. Chris Christie is an American hero. He has the courage to tell people the truth in a candid, no-nonsense way, and he is not afraid to make the hard choices that need to be made to balance the fiscal books. The Democratic Party's failure to address our nation's fiscal problems is inexcusable and unacceptable.

  • @NonSoccerFan Your inability to see through this mans lies is inexcusable. You obviously are not a resident of new jersey because if you were, you would see how much this governor has ruined the state. From blowing 400 million dollars towards higher education from the federal government, to his inability to revoke property tax rebates, this man has been a fraud ever since he was elected.

  • @fatherjon908 Your mere existence is proof that no matter how much I pray, God will unfortunately not rid the human species of mindless Communist retards like yourself. I am a proud resident of Trenton, and I look forward to the day when I can vote to re-elect Governor Christie, if the rest of the country hasn't compelled him to serve as our President by then. You are a DEBT DENIER. It's time for lazy pieces of trash like you to quit riding in the wagon and get out and help the rest of us pull.

  • @NonSoccerFan No, no matter how much I pray, God will not open the eyes of all the hypocritical and brainwashed people like yourself. Its funny how I mentioned nothing that could label me as a communist, as you so quickly jumped to saying, but was called that nonetheless by someone who probably believes George W. Bush and his administration did nothing but good for the country. How the the hell am I a "DEBT DENIER"?! Are you kidding me? That is just comical.

  • @fatherjon908 I can actually hear you getting dumber through my screen. And I love the all-too-familiar "it's all George W. Bush's fault." Right. The current economy is the Bush Administration's fault, as is the world AIDS epidemic, breast cancer among women, and the recent Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Please. Governor Christie is an absolute breath of fresh air because he believes in honesty, accountability, and candor - values that are conspicuosuly absent from the modern Democratic Party.

  • Smart guy. Glad to see someone finally telling it like it is. My only hope is that he makes cuts to public employees on every tier, not just the working- and middle-class.

  • Fuck corzine

  • @RaleighG300 No fuck you, and fuck christie.

  • @fatherjon908

fuck you faggot and your faggot son brandon you fucking cunt...you bitch

  • When the average cost per student for k-12 per year is $28k per student something is very wrong. It means public employment is overpaid and over hired. Administrative cost have skyrocketed only because they are hiring 3 people to do a job one person should be able to do. Enough is enough. You can't fire a Teacher or even a postal employee no matter how bad they are because their union contract says they can't be laid off or fired. Government spending is out of control. Its time to fix it.

  • As one of the general public, I agree - Amen!

  • Far more Mexicans flood the boarder than Cubans. Ive been to Cuba its like going back in time, old cars and buildings, the US embargo has empoverished that nation. Yet they are not bankrupt Ironicaly. and many Americans vacation in Cuba, they Fly to Canada then down to Cuba. (what ever you do dont rent a Car in Cuba if you get into an accident they will throw you in the Can, wonky driving laws) the things that are going on in the US right now lead to revolutions so beware.

  • Interesting! your perception of socialism. "socialism: Public ownership of all industry" Fascism: "private ownership of all industry" nothing in the USA is publicly owned yet you are bankrupt FACT hard to ignore. the reason you are bankrupt is private debt & you have sent all your manufacturing jobs over-seas. as a Canadian I am with you not against you. Sadly you have mentioned All the G7 nations which are all Capitalist for profit nations. this is not the first time the USA was bankrupt-1933

  • Hey 60 Minutes.......how about spending a segment on finding out what is GREAT about the USA instead of bashing it every Sunday night.

There are people in Cuba who have been swimming in shark-infested waters, for the last 30 years, risking getting eaten by sharks, just to get to the USA. Are people from the USA, swimming in these same waters to get to CUBA ( to embrace it's glorious Socialistic /Communist government ?)

    I think not !

    Do you like Apples?

Well "How 'bout them apples" ?

  • 20 years after the fall of Communism. The great United States Falls. In 12 months the US will be Bankrupt...So much for the great Capitalist experiment. But then again Capitalism is alive and doing well in Communist China. Ha! and I bet many of you thought Capitalism was synonymous with democracy. heres a word for the USA - 'Plutonomy'

  • @seventy18

Quite the contrary. The Socialistic Experiment has failed "AGAIN", as it has in NJ, California, (in the USA) and how about Italy, Russia, Greece...to name just a few.

Get your facts straight. The people are rioting in the streets because no one is "taking care of them". Those countries are all broke. They got there 20-50 ahead of us. And the USA.....WANTS THIS ???

  • Rather than saying "I don't have a pension, why should he?" people should be saying "He has a pension, why shouldn't I?"

  • @ajd1211 ...and this is one big reason why our country is in the trouble it is in - too many people saying "gimme" rather than being willing to be responsible for their own financial choices.

  • @Femme400 I agree that people should be more responsible for their own financial choices, but let me ask you this. If you pay into a pension plan your entire career, should you be entitled to reap the rewards for doing so after you retire?

One more thing. When someone invests in a 401k, they're investing in mutual funds. Mutual fund managers (MFM)'s make money when they do so. In turn, most MFM's give more business to the employers who encourage their employees to invest in the funds they

  • @ajd1211 manage. In addition, those MFM's give political donations to the candidates who go after pensions to eliminate them and instead, encourage 401K investments. See where this is going? Thom Hartmann said he thinks 401K's are scams. I think 401K's are schemes designed to benefit employers, MFM's, and politicians, while making the average Joe think it's a good investment. Read "The Smartest 401K Book You'll Ever Read" by Daniel Solin.

  • @ajd1211 Just reading through the comments...and I have thought for awhile/agree with you 401Ks are a scam. You say that to anyone in my circle and they look at me like i just murdered their puppy, but many great financial giants say the same. Robert Kirowsaki, Mike Maloney, and even Tony Robbins. I'll have to check out the book you mentioned...

  • @ajd1211 Yes, the pension contracts should be fulfilled, but that doesn't mean that the pension programs cannot be reformed, eliminating them or just reducing the amount that new employees receive when they retire. In addition, some pension plans pay out 10x or more than the employees pay into them, which is not a sustainable program. These must be adjusted to more realistic payouts. As for 401Ks, yes - you can invest in mutual funds, but not necessarily. The stock market has a variety of funds

  • @Femme400 In my state, the state legislature just reduced pension benefits for new hires hired after the first of the year. I know the stock market has more than just mutual funds, but the concept is the same. To my knowledge, whether it be mutual funds, bond funds, or money market accounts, they all have managers, and so the "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" concept is still the same, which is why I think 401k's are schemes devised to stop pensions and fill the pockets of the fund mgr's

  • The end of "The New Deal" and "The Great Society". Time for all you "Socialist Utopian" dreamers to wake up. Take a look at the riots in Europe. They're coming here.

  • Chris Christie/Marco Rubio ticket for Prez. Unbeatable.

  • i wonder if kroft would have liked if christie compared him to john dillinger, another whitebread hoosier. one robbed banks, the other robs truth. ha

  • Finally, someone who tells it like it is. He needs to run for POTUS!

The sad thing is that all the idiots who don't understand his message are the ones who will be helped out by listening to him. They're crying about their pensions being cut but if nothing is done there will be zero pensions. It is sad that people don't understands simple economics. If you don't have the money you can't spend it.

    Wake up people!

  • This guy is as crooked as the Mississippi river

  • Comment removed

  • Fatboy is just pissed off because he got beat on in school.

  • Wow - an honest politician!

  • Hey interneti, instead of cutting the education that will keep this generation from becoming the trash their trashy parents are (idiot) why don't you talk about cutting defense at the federal level and you'll have enough money to actually turn trash to educated treasure. And then maybe the state and local govts will have the role models they need to spend within their over tax collecting means!

  • Anybody who has been in a school recently knows money can be cut from them. There are SOOOO many kids who don't want to be there, because their trashy parents don't care about education. Throw them out. Money saved.

  • LOL at the lefties flinging garbage at this guy.

  • I can cut money to schools too. There is a lot of trash there that don't want to be. Let them stay home and find a job, or go to jail. Also, cut sports. However, given Christie's assessment, I don't think these "radical" ideas are too far off.

  • @interneti - do you understand the concept of living within your means? That's what we'll have to do, like it or not, and yes its painful, but kicking and screaming is not productive at all. We have to deal with a fiscal crisis like adults not little kids that just cry and say I want that mom! I want that! Eventhough we are totally broke.

  • @MaribelTipton What the hell are you going on about? Did you read my post, or did a few things set you off? I'm obviously on your side!

  • anyone who thinks chris christie is a great governor is a complete moron...just because he talks a big game doesn't mean he's actually doing anything good for the state. All he's doing is taking money away from school's (for spite) which were some of the best in the state and making sure his rich friends get richer. I never thought it could've gotten any worse than corzine, but i was way wrong.

  • Love him!!

  • Obama and his power hungry regime are as corrupt as they come. Fight The Power!!!!

  • He is absolutely the best Governor in my lifetime. For any of you who criticize him, what would your solution be? How would you choose to address these deficits? Are middle income NJ tax payers supposed to accept additional tax increases so the public employees can continue to receive salary increases? Is that your answer?

  • Government workers and the union mentality - the party is over. Your gangster benefits have busted the bank. Other states, take note.

  • This guy is a grandstanding idiot. He's as corrupt as they come.

  • @reidmustgo ... Qualify your statement! Nobody in their right mind would take a drive by accusation like yours, that has no proof, seriously.

  • @studionorthphoto Which statement? That he's a grandstanding idiot? All you have to do is watch some of his youtube videos for that. Or that he's corrupt? Well, his brother was charged with 1600 SEC trading violations, the prosecutor that let him walk received a big fat multi-million dollar no-bid contract from a state that's broke. Anything else? If there is, may I suggest you do some research of your own on the fatass governor of NJ.

  • I love my Governor! Way to go Gov. Christie! Keep up the great work! Thank you!!!!!!

  • Finally an elected official who is in contact with reality. We need more Chris Christies all over our country.

  • He should have his brother Todd run some more illegal SEC trades. He can get some money there and all he has to do is buy off another prosecutor.

  • Chris Christie for president in 2012
